jondtaylor··on Bitcoin Crashes Below $400 to Lowest Level Since April

jondtaylor··on Who Stole the Four-Hour Workday?
I appreciate your comment the most. If you want something then make it happen. Don't wait for the slow crawl of society to take you where you want to go.

jondtaylor··on AMD Announces the Availability of 64-bit ARM Opteron Developer Kits
I assume compression will be used for http content for serving content. I wouldn't be surprised if they include a few algorithms.

This is a dev kit not a commercial offering...

I noticed this in the blurb:

"Remember, keep it concise, yet personal. Ask yourself: if someone stopped reading here would they be ready to make a contribution?"

jondtaylor··on Statement Regarding Bitcoin Withdrawal Delays
I had to read your comment three times. 'Think' is the word your looking for.
jondtaylor··on Bitcoin is the Segway of Currency
People can use escrow for some customer protection. It worked out well for me the last time I ordered from bitmit.
jondtaylor··on Bitcoin, The Economic Singularity: From Holland with Love
Not necessarily. The fractional reserve system is rigged in the sense that to use it you must borrow at interest where the interest can not be paid back resulting in assets transferred to the creators of the currency. Bitcoin does not have this property. In my opinion the system of Bitcoin isn't rewarding certain people over others, that is a property of the market.
jondtaylor··on In Currency the U.S. is Dominant, Europe is Fading, China Is Irrelevant For Now
Funny timing. I just finished watching a video on the decline on the US dollar in global trade. Here is a link: http://hiddensecretsofmoney.com/
jondtaylor··on Tinhattery: New Class of Laws Would Make Lobbyists Irrelevant
I like the idea. I'm also wondering about the notion of deprecating laws that no longer function as they did when introduced or don't address the issue it was intended for.
jondtaylor··on Open Source FTP client in progress.
Just a little background, this is an FTP client that is very simple, caches content for fast response and syncs files locally for backup. It's windows only and is an experiment for me to test the market for interest. I'd be happy to hear any feedback. Thanks!

Business idea right here!
jondtaylor··on Bitcoins Are Digital Collectibles, Not Real Money
I don't think this is the case. My understanding is that wallets have transactions attached.
jondtaylor··on Bitcoins Are Digital Collectibles, Not Real Money
I may be mistaken but I don't think Bitcoins (the units themselves) have an identity like that only wallets are entities. It's similar to how a celebrity would drink water and water would be worth more than the rest. Once the debit and credit occurs who is to say which coins are from what source...
jondtaylor··on Bitcoin Is Fundamentally Flawed
Ahh, Thanks.
jondtaylor··on Bitcoin Is Fundamentally Flawed
"However, they are wrong because converting $100 into 10 x $10 bills or even 100 x $1 bills does not make you feel richer."

This was also quoted in a Forbes article but I don't get it. Can someone explain what this means? What does lack liquidity or limited supply have to do with feeling richer by funging your bills?

I'm not joking I seriously have no idea what this has to do with anything...
