joeyguerra··on Work messaging hasn't changed in a decade, I built something different
not going to download it just to see what it looks like.
joeyguerra··on AX – Google’s Open Agentic Orchestrator
Am I being gaslighted into thinking over engineered systems are not?
joeyguerra··on The next CMS might be a coding agent and a Git repository
that's literally how this site https://fieldmappings.com is managed.
joeyguerra··on Ask HN: Alternatives to GitHub
Not really. Is it stopping your work?
joeyguerra··on Show HN: HQBase – team email that runs in your Cloudflare account
I was going to leave no feedback, which is feedback. But no feedback is the absolute worst.

The technical implementation sounds cool. But I’m trying to imagine scenarios for the team emails with the Cloudflare hosting requirement.

My current client has a team inbox (accounts payable). But they use Microsoft. So outlook and exchange. I love Cloudflare, but in my experience have never seen it used more than for routing in “enterprises”.

joeyguerra··on LittleFedi – A Lightweight ActivityPub Server
The running instance errors.
joeyguerra··on Boris Cherny on Trying to Get Claude Code to Rewrite the Claude App
better is in the eye of the beholder?
joeyguerra··on Young adults are poor despite every metric which suggests otherwise
Difficult to falsify.
joeyguerra··on We need tech news sources which exclude AI
I already get hired to replace/fix code built by humans.
joeyguerra··on Show HN: Y – A malleable coding-agent desktop app built with Electron
Reminds of smalltalk.
joeyguerra··on Mesh – a P2P Git daemon and issues and cicd
I used Claude to build a p2p git daemon on top of git's HTTP facility. We needed to share and collaborate on our code and hadn't gotten our own sub-group on GitLab. So we used this while waiting. It turned out to be amazing. And I love it.
joeyguerra··on 2k retired Google Pixel phones get a second life as a private cloud
Yeah. I was imagining all the phones connected to each other like those spam farms.
joeyguerra··on Test Post – Please Ignore
impossible to ignore when told to ignore.
joeyguerra··on Why haven't we replaced HTML/CSS/JS?
why haven't we replaced C?
joeyguerra··on Zero-Touch OAuth for MCP
I have my chatbot command my chatbot.
joeyguerra··on How's Linear so fast? A technical breakdown
just one thing, this is not the simplest stacks you can find.
joeyguerra··on Changing How We Develop Ladybird
seems reasonable.
joeyguerra··on Let's compile Quake like it's 1997
I love doing stuff like it's 1997.
joeyguerra··on MCP is dead?
Wait. it was alive?
joeyguerra··on Local Git remotes
I love reading articles like this. It's kinda of a slap in the face – "hey guys, you know that thing you've been doing for decades, well for decades you've had this ability to do it with your own stuff if you just spend a few human brain tokens on it".

btw, Git also supports the HTTP protocol ...

joeyguerra··on Does anybody like React?
Some people do, some people don't.
joeyguerra··on Zerostack – A Unix-inspired coding agent written in pure Rust
the war of the coding agents has begun.
joeyguerra··on AI isn't paying off in the way companies think according to Gartner study
Yeah. We know.
joeyguerra··on Kent Beck: Parkinson's
Fuck Parkinson's, man.
joeyguerra··on Qite.js – Frontend framework for people who hate React and love HTML
There are people who hate react?
joeyguerra··on An important update on our team
When I see atlassian, I always think of the road to Abilene. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abilene_paradox
joeyguerra··on After outages, Amazon to make senior engineers sign off on AI-assisted changes
I’m wonder how many sr engineers are going to quit because they don’t want to read a bunch of code?
joeyguerra··on Will Claude Code ruin our team?
XP is still a good method to practice, but now with AI.
joeyguerra··on Ask HN: Would you use a job board where every listing is verified?
the job-to-be-done is connecting the job to the right person. Not job verification.

I built a mobile app dev team in fintech years ago. I remember one person was literally selling their house and moving and was looking for a job. Call it luck, serendipitous, what you will, but the "connection" was made at the right time, right place.

How do we solve that problem more effectively? Cuz right now it's a roll of the dice, constant linkedin messages, etc.

joeyguerra··on Vibe coded Lovable-hosted app littered with basic flaws exposed 18K users
It had 18k users?!
