Pretty sure the Belgian Congo one from 1949 is just eyes playing tricks on you. I see it blowing the proper direction looking at it immediately. If I stare hard enough, I can see the perception of it being backwards, however.

All depends on where you live. If you're trying to raise a family, you definitely have to live in the burbs and commute in.

I pay $1850 a month for a 496 sq ft "Open" one bedroom. It's basically a studio with a wall that segments off my bedroom.

Which is more than fine for me :D Get to live downtown, get to walk to work, walk to bars, etc. But if you wanted an average 3br/2ba apartment, you're probably looking in the $3500+/mo. And buying is so competitive right now it's insane.

Expand the metro area to Bellevue (since we included Microsoft above) add companies like Redfin, Zillow, Expedia, FICO, Disney.

Pillpack user here, and (unfortunately) an express scripts user.

I take 18 pills a day to manage some kidney issues I have, and Express Scripts doesn't have a good track record with getting your meds to you on time. If I don't have some of my medications, I could die. Not to mention, it's going to be a big pain in the ass to count out all those pills, AND take up a ridiculous amount of space with all the pill bottles, and pill trays.

Incredibly pissed off about all this...

Edit: forgot to mention my amazing feelings towards Pillpack. TJ (the CEO) has contacted me directly multiple times to make sure everything has been great, and every interaction I've had with them is phenomenal. If your insurance supports it, I highly recommend it.

I'd agree to this whole heartedly. At first glance (if I'm understanding your implementation correctly), it appears like you're already going to use up the same amount of space a buffer would anyway. In this case you're just tasking the LUA best practice, but making it a feature within Redis itself.

Regardless I think you're really onto something that people want. There's going to be a trade off one way or another, but the Redis community is all about speed, so the faster and more efficient you can do it, the better (:

The latest stable branch is an amazing show of readability. It's very simple to follow, and very easy to hack at if you want to try and manipulate structures to how you're wanting them.

I mean, nothing is really going to be as performant as Redis if you put it on disk.

The closest thing I can think of off the top of my head is MongoDB. Mongo will combine with on disk and in-memory storage. But you can do pretty much all the same things within mongo, just slower. It might not be that huge of a difference in performance depending on exactly what your doing of course. But if you're doing something in Redis that is, say, doing 100k+ ops/sec, you're highly unlikely to get that in mongo.
