Wait, I did that a long time ago.
At Agave, we're building the modern, self-service hiring platform for companies of all sizes. We help companies source, attract, recruit, and retain job candidates.
Why should you be excited to join us? Finding your next job is one of the biggest decision someone will make, and yet it's a deeply broken, inefficient process with old and expensive software. We want to fix all of these problems and make hiring delightful for both teams and candidates.
We're looking for a CTO. The ideal candidate has experience using Rails and React, and has worked at a startup before, or previously started a company and has CTO-level experience. Agave is funded by leading early-stage investors, including SV Angel, Box Group, Active Capital, Background Capital, and others.

We have benchmarks to understand how well a company is converting at each step in their funnel. CircleCI is converting well in 2 of their funnels, but the other 2 are underperforming significantly per my other comment in this thread.
For CircleCI, their new candidate to screen is 25%. This is higher than the 17% average. Their screen stage looks considerably larger than I've seen at most companies: it's 4 different steps. From the 250 candidates, it looks like 7 go into an onsite. That's about 3% which is significantly below the 32% benchmark. Of those 7, 3 will receive offers (it's not mentioned how many accept those offers). So the onsite to offer is 42%, which is higher than the 31% average. We can't determine the offer acceptance from the data.
I think it's great they're looking at the funnel and conversion rates. Most recruiters aren't able to tell you these figures which is a red flag. The only way to improve those metrics is to know them first and then measure how changes impact each stage.

I also redesigned the onsite experience. Demo here as well: https://airbnb.onsites.co/joe-zadeh
[1] As with many things in design, I think I should attribute the source of inspiration, which is Carta. They wrote about a new offer letter format back in 2016. I'm basically taking their Apple Keynote slides and moving them to the web.
I would suggest surrounding yourself with wealthy people and keeping them updated. When you have enough progress to get them excited about it, ask if they'd come in as an angel investor. Once you get a few of these lined up, you can get enough runway to justify quitting.
The base advice is good: don't quit your job if you don't have 6-12 months of runway first. But also, your job is holding you back from the execution that will be required to build your project and get customers, so try to find a way to bridge your exit.
I’m also working on the space with www.onsites.co to solve how broken the interview experience is.
And there's also no concept of unconditional love in a company. There's respect, which should be a given. But you shouldn't be expected to unconditionally love your co-workers.
FWIW I saw several large buys on the GDAX history today at the $18.4k price point. One was for 36 bitcoins, and I've never seen a purchase over 5. I shortly after saw another for 18.
I think #2 is the pain point, and I didn't see this addressed in the whitepaper. Most people talk about Bitcoin's transaction speeds, but Litecoin works incredibly well for doing transactions. The difficulty for a normal person is acquiring it. You need something like GDAX.
It wasn't always like this, and it has definitely gotten worse IMO. Based on conversations I've had with some friends, they also agree. We've all been living in the bay area for over 6 years and we're now entertaining the idea of moving away. I also know some smart people who have left naming this as one of the reasons.
AFAIK that's not public info. How'd you find out about this?
I actually disagree with most of what you're writing and I've been on it nearly full-time for the past few months. Lever has been awesome, coming from Greenhouse. It's also a much newer product, so as another commenter pointed out, it sounds like you missed some of the features that might have been more recently added.
