Can’t say enough nice things about redash. It’s become a staple in our data program.

What I’ve found is for our product data, traditional BI tools make certain queries easy but many other queries really hard (Tableau, QuickSight). You end up second guessing the results and checking yourself in SQL anyways.

SQL is the lingua franca of data, and Redash lets us stay in that mindset.

I’ve also been able to submit PR back to Redash with ease, great team. With the acquisition I am a tiny bit concerned about the future, but also hopeful.

Something roughly similar is possible in the AWS “big data” stack. The Athena SQL engine can reference Sagemaker models for inference. This is effectively exposed via UDFs. I haven’t used it yet personally but it looks super useful.

Which Olimex board? As part of evaluation of a next gen product we had thermal imaging done on an A20 with very positive results. They usually use industrial rated parts.

So far, this has been fantastic. Our team has been seriously considering converting from Windows to Linux for embedded development. (we run Linux VM when needed) Up and running and cross compiling for ARM without issue. Really surprised how it has just worked so far. This came at a great time for us.
