It's the main reason we decided to use influx in our small team with simple enough timeseries needs
Those 2 things together could force me to do almost anything if they really wanted.
It's all in the details.
Are there any good alternatives?
jsDelivr https://www.jsdelivr.com/ is a free CDN for open source projects.
We are looking for active and energetic individuals interested in the javascript ecosystem and working with open source projects and developers.
Even though we are the most advanced free CDN out there, not many people know about us. Your job would be to work with open source developers, build a community and come up with creative and effective marketing ideas to let people know about how our technology can make their dev life easier.
Ideally you would be located in USA to have the ability to visit conferences and meetups to make presentations about our technology and problems we solve.
Apply at: dak [at] prospectone.io
We are looking for experienced PHP developers to help us build and maintain new features while staying fast and stable under high load.
You will be working with systems that gather and analyze billions of data points and make the data available to our users via dashboard and API that also integrates with our global load-balancing system.
We are a young and high energy startup with a friendly non-corporate environment and we are looking for self-motivated and driven people to help us grow fast!
Our office in Krakow is brand new and we are happy to help with relocation.
But right now jsDelivr supports both GitHub and npm as source for CDN files. So here is an easy tool for migration https://www.jsdelivr.com/rawgit
Or you can even use a CLI https://perfops.net/cli to run custom tests from any location
Tutum actually worked and I really liked it. Now I plan to use Rancher on top of kubernetes for my docker hosting
- Do I need to document every single expense with invoices similar to vat?
- What kind of expenses I can write off to my business? Apartment, house, car lease?
- What kind of salary to founders pay themselves?
- Do you hire yourself at the company or only pay yourself dividends as a salary? That's a popular method in Poland for founders to lower their income tax
- What's a popular visa used for this? I am looking at L1 but I am not sure how the connection between companies is established
- How demanding are the investors? If growth is slower than expected are there problems?
I would actually be happy to pay someone to get answers. But not sure who. A lawyer seems overkill for some of the basic questions.
The cloud option would cost thousands for the same resources.
I understand that small customers like us are not interesting to bigger USA companies. But it's still something I wish was possible
No issues so far except of course the initial difficulty correctly setting up the tables and continuous queries.
The main problem for us is that clustering is available only to the enterprise version which is way too expensive for a small self funded company like ours. I wish they offered more options without any support and a big discount.
It costs a lot when I do changes requiring external help which is quite often.
Billions of requests every month. Building the service is pure joy. I have lots of new features coming like a new website, stats per project and more.
