Why?
* FZF. Perhaps the best fuzzy finder for Vim https://github.com/junegunn/fzf/
* ALE. Asynchronous Linting Engine, totally awesome. https://github.com/w0rp/ale
* Polyglot. A "best of" language pack. https://github.com/sheerun/vim-polyglot
* Plug. IMHO the best plugin manager going https://github.com/junegunn/vim-plug.
* Fugitive. The best git wrapper there is https://github.com/tpope/vim-fugitive
* vim-test. A plugin that helps you run tests from inside of Vim. https://github.com/janko-m/vim-test
Outside of that, switch to NeoVim if you haven't already (https://neovim.io/). Or give Oni a chance, it looks really promising (https://www.onivim.io/).
You've got to start somewhere. Bear in mind legalization didn't pass with sweeping support, the Conservative right is still largely opposed.
* American English could be considered one such refactoring. Some common changes include: removing vowels without sound (e.g. "labour" => "labor", "colour" => "color"), removing duplicate letters ("programme" => "program"), and reversing some "re" words (e.g. "theatre" => "theater"). More details: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English-language_spelling_refo... * The printing press introduced some too. The best example I can think of is the general removal of diaereses (e.g. "microörganism" => "microorganism"). Though I'm less certain of this one.
I'm a little surprised none of the gamer speak refactorings haven't made their way into the written word in a serious way, especially given their prevalence in such a large portion of the population.
Another consequence of switching has been difficulty in using things like my Apple TV or Chromecast (e.g. casting a video to my TV), or using my Mac's media keys to control Google Play Music.

Sounds like you really just ought to make a habit of keeping pen and paper near you, or your mobile phone. Either of these fit your use case nicely at (probably) no extra cost.
Look, this is inevitable. The titans have decided this thing is dead, so it's going to happen. The thing that pissed me off most about the iPhone 7 and convinced me to leave wasn't the lack of a headphone jack, it's that Apple was/is confused about what to do about it. You can't go making USB-C only computers and then have all of your phones using something different. I get that this is shitty, but at least if we decide that USB-C is the way forward we can end the Great Dongle Wars.
Firefox used to have something like this in the past, but it's either buried deep inside some obscure setting or has been ripped out. It's a damn shame.
I'm sure every medium sized Canadian city will be clamouring for this.
> ... there aren't actually that many hurdles left. The biggest one is IPV6. Once that is pervasive, then you have an easy way to get end to end connectivity without having use a central server to carry the content...
I'm not really a networking pro. Could you ELI5 why IPv6 is such a magic bullet for VOIP?It's really interesting to me that you reached for fake meat instead of better farming practices.
* My partner's work is based here * It's easy to visit both of our family's from here * If the company I work for goes belly up, there's an abundance of work available here (though I'd strongly prefer to stay remote)
We've toyed with the idea of moving, but remain here for now due to combinations of the above. I can virtually assure you that we'll move if and when we decide to purchase a home.
E.g. using SuitCSS Grid:
<div class="Grid">
<div class="Grid-cell u-size1of3 u-sm-sizeFull">We're finding it to be incredibly productive, and more than performant for our needs — especially when you couple it with Postgresql.
Not all transpilers may be to your taste, but they have their place.
