I can be professional and work on a temporary basis with people who hold anti-gay views, and I'm not going to go out of my way to attack them. I don't know much about how Eich ran Mozilla, I couldn't say if he deserved what happened, but I know that I would not consider a job at a company with anti-gay leadership.
On a foreign scale, defense contractors have a vested interest in keeping the Middle East unstable and have the political power to push congress towards putting more US forces there. Domestically, it's hard to find a more plausible explanation for so many state governors doing things like opting out of ACA, limiting unions, closing schools, or enabling the Flint water crisis.
I think this happens a lot online too. It's super easy now to become an 'expert' on a particular technology just by writing a few blog posts about it, tweeting a bunch, or self-publishing a quick ebook. I suspect a lot of people feel like they aren't 'expert' enough to do these things despite them being done by relatively inexperienced people all the time.
And like jurors in juries, wouldn't we then be governed by people not smart enough to get out of their congressional term?
Unfortunately after about 2 years the plug on my XD1080 stopped working so I can't reliably charge it :/ I'll probably replace it with the Prime X when my budget allows.

One of my favorite estimating guidelines from a mentor was that development tasks are either 2, 4, or 8 hours. If it's more than 8 hours it can be broken up into smaller tasks.
Edit: Okay checked my spreadsheet, I misremembered. Honestly I don't track it that closely
