This is flat out wrong. Security isn't binary.
You have a fundamental misunderstanding of how government works if you think there "is no consideration."
Alternatively, and if the form supports it, you can use the share sheet on iOS to get 2FA auto fill from 1Password.
I understand and appreciate the work Project Zero does; it makes us all safer when these bugs are found, and fixed. It just seems like the only project zero blog posts that make the front page are aimed at Microsoft or Apple.
Except the part where the `.app` domain is only "https-only" in Chrome.
Freedom of speech != freedom to publish whatever wherever you want
THAT is the reality we're about to enter with this FCC change. Who gives a shit about Netflix being slower? Using that example to fight for Net Neutrality is a guaranteed way to lose.
Want to know how many times my iPhones have boot looped in the last nine years? Not once ever. My last Android (Nexus 6p) managed to do it several times in the 3-ish months I daily-drove it.
Want to know how long you can expect to get iOS updates with a new hardware purchase? 5+ years. Compared with the very best case for Android: 2 maybe?
How many times with an iPhone have I been expected to install a custom OS to get around a user-hostile feature like I saw about fifty times in the 1 billion outdated androids thread? Zero times.
It’s unreal.
Facebook and Google are marketing/advertising agencies.
Those are all bleeding edge developer best practices that didn't exist five years ago. Folks coming from matlab (an example I read above,) probably aren't in the industry and many likely don't even know docker exists OR why they would want to use it.
Somehow, I still manage to write free software that I care about, release it for free, and contribute to other FOSS projects. Caring about free software doesn't mean I have to use ONLY free software.
What you're doing with that argument is called gatekeeping http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Gatekeeping
I don't think this comparison holds up. Napster was a peer to peer network where publishers of the works being downloaded had no control over who was able to download what. By contrast, web publishers have extraordinarily fine grained control over distribution of their works.
For example, when I connect to nytimes.com to read some news, I politely ask the nytimes.com servers for access by saying:
GET /some/article HTTP/1.1
The NYTimes, or literally ANY publisher on the web, have the option to say no right there for any reason. They are under zero obligation to give me access to content I'm requesting. If publishers are upset about people reading their content without displaying ads, maybe they should stop giving it all away for free.
This republican excuse for poor government is so tired. Further, from the third paragraph in the article:
> But during the Obama administration, the FCC determined repeatedly that broadband isn't reaching Americans fast enough, pointing in particular to lagging deployment in rural areas.
So no, it's not really both sides here. There is very clearly one side doing a shit job.
Can you elaborate on the persecution and exclusion you personally experienced from being an American conservative?
> I strongly believe in gender and racial diversity, and I think we should strive for more. However, to achieve a more equal gender and race representation, Google has created several discriminatory practices:
> * A high priority queue and special treatment for “diversity” candidates
> * Hiring practices which can effectively lower the bar for “diversity” candidates by decreasing the false negative rate
^ Isn't that exactly what the author is saying?
