jesuspiece

more like the entirety of the company (Amazon + AWS) following the guidance of an unnamed "nobody" is, in fact, a standard of excellence :)

I challenge you to find PHP deployed in production in any Amazon service

Fair point haha

so many "pentests" are:

* run scanner

* print out report

not a lot of deep diving

Im totally in support of stopping monopolies but idk guys, Blizzard sucks so much now I kinda want to see MSFT fix it lol

He wont be going to jail, the fact that he's still walking around free is proof enough. He defrauded people out of billions but w/e I guess

It's not a meme, it's backed by empirical data. It's banned for security reasons internally at AMZN, not without due diligence

People use TravisCI still? GitHub actions, Circle, AWS Pipelines...There was so many better options

People still use PHP? Let this horrible language die already. It's banned internally at AMZN for a reason

yep, it's already ruined. also him backtracking on the whole "comedy is now legal" thing is hilarious. what a whiny baby

Feel bad for the lowly employees but I hate this company and zillow. I want to buy a home, fuck y'all

Gee I wonder why

Meh I prefer Cloudfront

But student loan forgiveness is the problem, sure

yea like no shit the web3 fat got cut first lol. anyone with eyes could see through all the people selling shovels in a gold rush

same thing in the states

Only if you're gonna use AWS Orgs/AWS Control Tower to help manage everything otherwise it gets wild.

Internally, Amazonians also use AWS accounts per "app" basically.

I've wondered this as well. Look at Uber, how are they not profitable? How many more engineers/general personnel do they possibly need to hire?

2 periods of negative growth == recession. Fed just raised rates again. Anyone paying attention knows what's up lol.

Stop lying and just announce it

Thankfully it's not deadly, seems to clear up in 2-4 weeks according to CDC. Don't know if we need lockdown part 2, COVID was a no brainer due to how deadly it was/is

Never was?

They need to give it up and admit WFH is the way forward. Surprised Apple is so anti remote work. Heard from some folks who work there that leadership is very old school, love water cooler talk :/

Maybe they'll revamp Spirit's reputation? Never flown Spirit, only heard bad things. Flew Jetblue once, it was ok

The "Tips for Removing Ambiguity" section is quite helpful. This can translate well into the corporate world, especially Tech, when folks have to give presentations to execs or leadership who hate ambiguity and generally want to get straight to the point.

Congrats on 2.0 release, this is the first I'm hearing of EdgeDB. As someone who is not a DBA and dreads working w/ complicated SQL queries, this looks like a breath of fresh air.

Hope it continues to grow in features and support!

Looks like it? BGP stuff is hard to prove out

Was never your data to begin with
