Does your closing down suggestion only apply to Twitter or also other social media platforms? What would the effect be?

Learning something by doing it 2 mins a day seems like a steep promise.

Personally, I always try to take quick notes ahead of time in order to be able to listen to others during the meeting. I'd highly recommend this to everyone to help focus on what others are saying.

This seems to be an overlooked aspect here in the comments too. Yes, nobody likes to be forced to do something but in this case it's worth it. We have enough distractions as it is so taking 15 minutes to focus on what's important to our colleagues can bring forth valuable connections of ideas and people.

I agree with the importance of Scrum Master in the meeting but from a different perspective. Without a dedicated Scrum Master the meetings often feel either flat or take an off-topic life of their own. I believe that sort of communication is also important but should then be done outside of the Daily.

I live in Vantaa which is right next door while commuting every day to Helsinki. Only criteria seemed to be that I can't be a resident of Helsinki... Might have to apply for the fun idea and surprisingly great program.

I just answered some personal work style questions for a software engineer job interview a few weeks back. Would have been interesting to see how I fit in with the already existing team in the company. Not sure if it would give me anything more than a good interview with the current team members but having a point of comparison for my preferred working style would have made it more valuable to me.

I believe the innovations that come from such grand challenges such as becoming interplanetary will help solve other problems we face as well. I'm thinking of new materials, processes and technologies that can be applied in multiple contexts.

But why?

I wish more companies understood the value of great products that people love to use as marketing instead of spending money on advertising.
