Hey, I'm Jeremiah! I’m a full-stack developer and consultant with experience building web, mobile, and desktop applications across various industries, including education, research, and manufacturing. Recently, I’ve contracted on projects including a WYSIWYG editor and calendar integrations for an edtech platform, cross-platform mobile apps, and custom portals. Previously, I was a full-stack developer at Pivot Interactives (acquired by Discovery Education), where I built interactive video learning tools. Before that, I was a senior developer at Corning, where I co-created software used for the quality control of Gorilla Glass, which is used in billions of devices worldwide. I’m open to full-time, part-time, or contract opportunities.

I'm a full-stack developer currently working on contract projects and open to full-time, part-time, or additional contracting opportunities.

Previously, I was a full-stack Web Developer at Pivot Interactives, an education startup (acquired by Discovery Education), where I created an interactive video learning and teaching platform centered on science. Before that, I was a senior software developer at Corning Inc., where I co-created the software for quality controlling Gorilla Glass, used in factories worldwide to qualify billions of phone displays for Samsung, Apple, Huawei, and all major phone brands.

I would love to discuss the opportunities you have available. Feel free to reach out!

Thanks! I will definitely try out Sim Studio later today. It looks great, nice work!

I agree, I especially find it useful when prototyping. I recently built a canvas node-based tool that connects LLM prompts and passes the model's response into the next node as context. It was fun to create and great for testing/comparing outputs from different models. https://littleworkflow.com/
jerejacobson··on Ask HN: Do you still use search engines?
I recently had someone reach out and tell me they liked a Chrome extension that I built. They found it by asking ChatGPT if there was a way to do X on Y, and it recommended my extension to them.

I was very surprised to hear this, and it made me wonder how much of traditional SEO will be bypassed through LLM search results. How do you leverage trying to get ranked by an LLM? Do you just provide real value? Or do you get featured on a platform like Chrome Extensions Store to improve your chances? I don't know, but it is fun to think about.

Hi, I'm Jeremiah. I'm a full stack developer seeking opportunities.

I recently wrapped up three years at Pivot Interactives, an edtech startup (later acquired) where I built Vue.js/TypeScript solutions for science education. My work spanned LTI integrations with learning platforms, custom WYSIWYG editors, auto-grading algorithms, and testing infrastructure serving thousands of concurrent users.

Previously, I engineered QC systems at a global technology company that measured stress properties in billions of consumer devices, and developed interfaces for laboratory equipment including DAQs, motor controllers, and industrial automation systems.

If you have any questions feel free to reach out!

jerejacobson··on Ask HN: Is it worth it to post on the 'Who Wants To Be Hired' thread?
I had luck with it. I was hired from the February 2022 HN post and enjoyed working there for three years before we were acquired. I posted last week in February 2025, hoping for similar results.

Hi, my name is Jeremiah. I'm looking to join a team where I can contribute significantly to a product and solve interesting problems. I am always eager to learn new skills, grow, and tackle new challenges.

I just finished three years of work at a learning startup called Pivot Interactives, which Discovery Education acquired. While working for Pivot Interactives, I was a full-stack web developer on a team of four developers implementing features from the design phase to deployment. I created easy-to-use and accessible tools for teachers and students to supplement high-school-level science labs by serving students with thousands of videos and assignments daily. This included integrations with learning platforms, custom WYSIWYG editor components, auto-grading, and student testing systems.

Before Pivot Interactives, I was a senior software development engineer at Corning Inc., creating hardware/software that quality-controlled billions of consumer electronic devices. I also wrote tools for scientists to interface with custom-made hardware and commercially available equipment. (DAQs, Motor Controllers, Liquid Crystal polarizers, industrial automation systems, etc.)

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
