For the average non-technical user going through the trouble of installing an extension to put files on the desktop is a non-starter. If I switched my parents to Linux with GNOME they would be completely lost being unable to put files on the desktop. If people want Linux to be the next great desktop OS then things like this are a huge barrier to usability.
I highly recommend using iMazing for your backups. If you have a Mac it's essentially just doing iTunes backups (which in a lot of ways are better than iCloud backups, especially when using the encrypted backup option). The interface is much better to manage, you can pull data from the backups right from the app, and you can do the backups wirelessly as well.
I got my Titan back in January after 5+ years of sitting on a cheap chair I got from OfficeMax. Having switched jobs during the pandemic and now working from home I needed something better. It wasn't a week after the new job that I started getting constant aches and pains in my neck and back. This went on for nearly three months until the new chair arrived. It took maybe a week of readjustment to get comfortable but once I did I wondered how I lived with the old one so long. No more neck or back pain, no more wrist pain as I can raise them to a straight position. A good chair is worth its weight in gold.
They're fundamentally different in the problems they solve. Dropbox is a cloud file storage and syncing service. NextCloud is an open source alternative to something like Dropbox in that it offers file sharing and syncing but also much more on top of that. It's really closer to something like the Google suite of personal cloud services with Google Drive, Photos, Contacts, and Calendar. Kopia is a backup solution for the files on your computer. You can use cloud file storage providers as the destination for these backups but it doesn't handle the storage of the backups itself. You have to provide that storage to it.
Running a private server for a popular game called Maplestory back in 2010. 14 year old me trying to make heads or tails of dns, port forwarding, etc. Hardest part was understanding enough of the code to set things like server messages, spawn and drop rates, etc. Ended up getting it working after several weeks of effort.
Yeah the whole random serial number bit is not a rumor. They've been putting out statements in their internal GSX system about it for well over a year now to plan for it.
I think that usually comes down to the contract being so specifically tailored for a company that they're the only one who could possibly bid and meet the specs for it.
I would say that's an easy question. No, it's not important. Who should decide? Whoever at the company is given the authority to ban people from their website. How? Following whatever protocols they come up with? Want to have their own pseudo-court system? Go for it. Want to have a ban lottery so people may just randomly be banned for no reason? Go for it, it's your website do what you want with it.
Regarding your third point, I've nothing but distain for bikers in my community. They put up signs to be treated like cars (since there generally are very poor shoulders in this area) but then will plow through stop signs and will not signal turns or anything. Nearly ran one over in a fire truck because they just ran right through the stop sign.
Actually, we should be giving patients. Ketamine is an extremely safe drug for paramedics to give for the safety of the patient and those around them. Especially in cases of excited delerium where the person may actually die because of it. In these cases ketamine is absolutely an emergency drug.
They don't administer it unless it meets all criteria in their protocols. Something like administering Ketamine would be under a standing order meaning that the paramedics would not need to consult with medical control prior to administration. There would need to be a post-call consultation with medical control to document it and explain why it was given in addition to everything being documented in the patient care report given to hospital staff at the time of transfer of patient care.
Yeah, I'm not exactly sure where you're getting that information. Ketamine is administered in pre-hospital settings only by paramedics. Police cannot give it nor can they order medics to do so.
I think I see what it means though. The branch uses that commit as a new tip to then branch off of, not necessarily meaning a new branch starts at the existing 'tip'.
What AASP is taking 7 days to replace a battery? We do them all day long as a premiere partner and we always set the expectation at around an hour and a half to be on the safe side.
The DoD uses them extensively. All military personnel are issued one and it’s used for everything from accessing workstations and email to buying your meals at the DFAC.
I am ACIT and ACMT certified working for an AASP and you're absolutely right. The Audio IC issue with iPhone 7 and 7+ is awful but Apple refuses to acknowledge it's their problem. They had a rep program for a few months when it first started surfacing but then cancelled it when their own internal investigation said it wasn't their fault. While we tend not to recommend the 6s, we also don't sell and iPhones whether new or refurb.
About time Apple recognized this issue with the iPhone X. We’ve been replacing iPhone X displays nonstop for months due to this issue and the troubleshooting process to have Apple cover it has been a huge pain.
