This series of talks by Nazim Bouatta is exceptional, helped me appreciate and make sense of these models. Incredible how you can engineer neural nets to learn with way lesser data when you incorporate the right inductive biases: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0NRmB0fnLJQPDZh-6utVnRpF...
Markov Chains is on my list of things to write these kind of explorable essays for, good to know there's some interest for it!
There are some really amazing games in thee, many built by high school students using repl.it!

I built spoofr as a prank in the last few days - my friends wanted to fake like they were working on something when a teacher at school went by + I wanted to fake my typing speed :p
The code is open source, and you can fork it at https://glitch.com/~spoofr
https://chhota.ga - it even works on custom domains with just one line of js.

Wrish is an editor that saves text written every 3 seconds. It generates a 6 character alphanumeric hash for saving what you write, and it can be edited again simply by copying and pasting the same url.
It uses QuillJS for the formatting and editing and jsonstore.io for a database.
There is also an option to share a read only version, and Wrish behaves quite natively when it's added to the homescreen in Android phones.
Check it out on glitch to quickly remix/fork the project - https://glitch.com/~wrish
For a quick setup DB, using https://github.com/bluzi/jsonstore
Just enforced SSL - And if the free embedded service you're talking about is telegra.ph, that is different than writt because you can't write and publish within telegram, you have to use a web interface.
Glitch is made by FogCreek, the guys who co-founded Stack Overflow, and have built Trello and other stuff - so pretty sure they're reliable https://glitch.com/faq#trust
Indeed, notes in the form of multiple texts and chatting could make things more interesting.
