The previous Starliner flight that actually docked with the ISS had two thrusters out as well so this was not totally unexpected.

Now I run Thinkamingo where we build fun educational mobile apps.
I'm helping build BioscanR where we're applying modern sensor technology and analysis in the healthcare space.
I help run Tampa Hackerspace where I mostly get to watch other people build neat stuff while I focus on building the hackerspace. But I get to dabble in electronics, microcontrollers, art, 3D printing, etc. when I can.
I coach FIRST robotics, teaching high school kids to build and program competitive robots.

I'm personally trying to get mine down to a single carload other than furniture or boardgames. Boardgames can be a single carload on their own.
But they really shoot themselves in the foot with crap like constantly pushing the Edge browser, Bing, Copilot, etc. and forcing ads on the user.
These are going to be impressive machines and we'll all hopefully benefit from some more heated competition.
Meanwhile returns through Whole Foods are a shit show. They can't give me a receipt for the return. "Just wait here and make sure you get an email confirming the return." Amazon claimed they never got one of my returns despite me having that email receipt. Had to fight it three damn times before they stopped pulling back my refund.
Unfortunately they force me to use Whole Foods (or maybe some other worse options) for any return with a lithium battery in it.
Go find their Patreon or own site/store.
As far as I know, that would be Ann Thai, product director for App Store and Apple Arcade.
HDMI to mini + micro HDMI, HDMI to/from DVI, Display Port to HDMI (would like to find a HDMI to DP), HDMI to HDMI coupler. Cheap HDMI to USB capture lets your laptop act as a monitor for a Pi or whatever. Composite/RCA to HDMI for old console games.
Of course "dongle town" of USB-C to almost everything like ethernet, DP, HDMI, VGA, USB-A, etc. (I also have Lightning and Mac/Thunderbolt 2 versions of some of those that I take to events as loaners.)
A little USB power meter (USB-C, USB-A and I think micro USB but never tried that) is damn handy.
I keep a little headphone case full of USB flash drives (mostly Sandisk Cruzer Fits) with different distros / installers / etc. including a couple installed Linux environments. I miss the really flat Verbatim ones.
Lighting and USB-C to 1/8" headphone (and a good old pair of wired earbuds with mic).
USB to 9-pin serial and even to 25-pin printer port.
I keep a couple Anker cables that are USB-A to combo USB-C/microUSB/Lightning with a USB-C to USB-A adapter. Slow but they always work.
Those adapters that adapt USB-C cables to fit USB-A ports can be hazardous if you end up creating a USB-A to USB-A cable.
Their API changes have been a big pain in the ass for us. Just let us pay for access to the older API and we'll gladly do it. Then they turned off RSS feeds and nobody can get any answer out of them about whether it was intentional.
My high school had I think the TRS-80 Model 16B with I thought 8-12 terminals attached. It was primarily used for a COBOL class, replacing a Burroughs mini and punch cards.
Second job, the same guy had moved on and let me know they were hiring. I'd already had lunch with him and his boss a couple of times so the interview was a formality.
We had to spell out "you can't live here" in our membership agreement / orientation. Just too many issues there. We've had a few vanlifers and some van builders but as long as they're not primarily living in the building or our parking lot we're good. We also got rid of the couch.
I tried lots of USB-C docks/dongles and finally gave in and got a decent lower-end Thunderbolt dock from Anker. No more juggling multiple cables to get 4K60. Single cable solution to dock my MacBook Pro and run pretty much anything.
It isn't currently in my office, but a cheap recumbent stationary bike has been a good help to knock out some cardio when I have a break.
Well top is really the M1 Pro MacBook Pro. Fast, silent and 95% of the time I don't even think about battery life. A big improvement over my 2019 i9 MBP.
Related, also maybe my 12.9" iPad Pro with the Magic Keyboard cover. It's a 2018 with a dying battery but it makes a great book reader, video viewer, spare monitor, etc. With the keyboard case it's decent for writing or remote terminal work. It's become my "couch laptop" and what I throw in the car in case I get stuck waiting for something or someone.
I've got a cheap standing desk but meh - mostly sit at it but being able to change height even for sitting is nice. Cheap-ish Tempur-Pedic office chair works pretty well for me. Creative Pebble Pro speakers were a big improvement over my previous ones with analog input and a subwoofer I kept kicking. Anker C200 webcam and Audio-Technica ATR2100x-USB microphone were cheap upgrades for calls. A clamp-on cupholder that keeps my drink stable and away from possible spills onto my MacBook is a win. A few external SSDs for Time Machine etc.
It's handy even when not on your head since you can angle it almost anywhere.
Bought the gen 2 USB-C ones as soon as they got discounted and love them. The noise cancellation is noticeably improved. I'm mostly fine with the stock tips but do have some of the Comply foam tips which give a little tighter seal.
Would prefer go on the backend but language switching when doing frontend at the same time is a bit of a pain.
