Work with people smarter than you. If you're the smartest, move on. The people to the side of me are a better resource than Stack Overflow etc. put together and I owe a great deal to them.

I think you're setting a precedence that it is you vs company. If you're upfront and they work around this or even embrace it, you know they are a good company to work with.

I agree with this, I have a 7 month old daughter and I am literally running on empty. I pick up colds a lot more often now, but, seeing her smile makes everything worth while. Be upfront about it, you'll want to work for a company that sends you a card with Mothercare vouchers when the time comes, not a company that makes you feel bad for wanting to support your family.

.doc is a must but only because of the technology being used. CV Parsing / Previewing is a lot more mature of .doc format.

If you change providers, don't change the price. It seems people are willing to pay the current rate and if anything I would experiment with charging more whilst getting your costs down!

This is awesome, for some of my clients we send invoices monthly (most are paid online) - I'm going to use this to send as an invoice attached to our Accounts Dept. to save them having to do it everytime.
