It explains the brevity and any typos. That's how I see it used.
Yes. Very notably: https://ziglang.org/code-of-conduct/
This is disingenuous. Quoting Steve Jobs himself:
> We know from painful experience that letting a third party layer of software come between the platform and the developer ultimately results in sub-standard apps and hinders the enhancement and progress of the platform. If developers grow dependent on third party development libraries and tools, they can only take advantage of platform enhancements if and when the third party chooses to adopt the new features. We cannot be at the mercy of a third party deciding if and when they will make our enhancements available to our developers.
> This becomes even worse if the third party is supplying a cross platform development tool. The third party may not adopt enhancements from one platform unless they are available on all of their supported platforms. Hence developers only have access to the lowest common denominator set of features. Again, we cannot accept an outcome where developers are blocked from using our innovations and enhancements because they are not available on our competitor’s platforms.
Originally about Adobe's Flash, but can apply with no editing (!) to Google Chrome :)
An economy that relies on growth, yep.
Credit cards are convenient and cash isn't. The genie is out of the bottle, no way to make people move back to cash.
There is no situation in which interchange fees get slashed and prices go down across the board by 3% to make it worth it for card users.
I won't pretend to have kept up with all the developments, since this is not settled law at all. But I can't imagine the consensus doesn't end somewhere around "if you told the AI what and how to code it, you're the author."
A common refrain in the commentariat is "if AI makes you so more productive, where's all the new ambitious software?" Here you are, here's an AI assisted Github clone.
My guess is that open source folks overindex on being anti-AI.
