interestpiqued··on What Meta got right with Muse
Honestly I just think the fact that I don’t get spawned into a new chat every time I open it is an amazing. Simple and clean, AI seriously needs its Steve Jobs
interestpiqued··on I quit OpenAI because its culture is broken
Frontier AI labs are turning into the navy seals. Everybody who worked there will feel compelled to write a book about it
interestpiqued··on GPT 6.1 Sol: Near-Astra intelligence for a fifth of the price
4 years is not that long in the grand scheme of things to be fair
interestpiqued··on On the Navier–Stokes Millennium Prize Problem
You’re straddling a weird line here where I am not sure if you are speaking on behalf of OpenAI or not.
interestpiqued··on Anthropic Sees over $30T in Potential Revenue
Honestly you have a point. The decrease in cost of cocaine is very real
interestpiqued··on Grok 4.5
That is people who play tennis being political. I play tennis a couple times a week and I have no idea the political views of those I play with
interestpiqued··on Mag 7 starting to underperform [pdf]
The only mag 7 that had a shooter chance with models is Google rn so doesn’t seem like there being good enough models will be that negative for mag 7. Might even be better since they are the providers for the inference
interestpiqued··on The Exhaustion of Talking to a Tool
My exhaustion comes from how long winded LLMs are. I ask simple questions and get an essay with bullet points.
interestpiqued··on US Supreme Court drug users cannot be prohibited from firearms [pdf]
Unreal people don’t even read an ai summary of the case
interestpiqued··on SpaceX to buy Cursor for $60B
I wouldn’t see it as just pure gambling. I’m not a dividend queen that really cares all That much about it. I do think we are sliding along the scale from shares having intrinsic value as an ownership stake in an income producing asset to collector cards that we track societies valuation of a company with. And at some point in the next 50 years shit will hit the fan. Unfortunately sitting it out isn’t really an option either
interestpiqued··on SpaceX to buy Cursor for $60B
I mean that just begs the question how we got to this point. And how far detached is the public market from real value. Many shares don’t confer actual value. Hell a lot of these companies don’t pay dividends in addition to very little or no voting rights.
interestpiqued··on SpaceX to buy Cursor for $60B
You must be a joy to work with.
interestpiqued··on Policy on the AI Exponential
Release date seems like a terrible x axis with how much more compute they are using. Not to mention while I like what METR is trying to measure, it is an uber specific metric. And frankly, me just complaining, they’re prompts I feel do most of the work for the AI. I’ve never gotten as detailed instructions as they give the AI for the task
interestpiqued··on Policy on the AI Exponential
Also I’m not denying it would have a major impact either way. But c suite have basically demanded people use ai to code. It’s not all organic
interestpiqued··on Policy on the AI Exponential
Yeah I’m lost by the constant use of “exponential”. What is the x and y axis when the talking heads say this?
interestpiqued··on Apple WWDC 2026 Livestream
I think they were just pointing out the difference between that and iOS there
interestpiqued··on Joby kicks off NYC electric air taxi demos with historic JFK flight
You’re probably right on crime. But I will say that both SF and Chicago(most of my experience) local train systems are constantly filled with homeless people with severe mental health issues. Generally , without fixing that a large segment of the population are never going to want to ride public transport.
interestpiqued··on U.S. Debt Tops 100% of GDP
GDP is literally just in dollars as a unit
interestpiqued··on US special forces soldier arrested after allegedly winning $400k on Maduro raid
What if I’m a farmer who wants to short whatever commodity I grow as a hedge.
interestpiqued··on Why the US Navy won't blast the Iranians and 'open' Strait of Hormuz
I’m not saying you’re wrong. But man haves lots of people who don’t know what a war crime is really devalued the accusation. So much so I read yours and I just assume it isn’t.(again idk)
interestpiqued··on Why the US Navy won't blast the Iranians and 'open' Strait of Hormuz
Yeah I don’t find this article particularly insightful. If we don’t have troops on the ground to prevent attacks in the straight, it would be always be vulnerable despite superiority. Shit if we don’t control the land, they could drop a bunch jet skis with bombs in the water in the middle of the night. The straight is only 21 miles wide at some points
interestpiqued··on Jury finds Meta liable in case over child sexual exploitation on its platforms
So literally what I was implying
interestpiqued··on Jury finds Meta liable in case over child sexual exploitation on its platforms
I mean you can read it in your app and they're not just stored on your phone. E2E just means in transport from what I understand.
interestpiqued··on After outages, Amazon to make senior engineers sign off on AI-assisted changes
I mean yeah it happens all the time but you need to start somewhere. But I worked in safety critical self driving firmware and rtl verification before that, so documentation was a necessity
interestpiqued··on AI coding is gambling
I think AI literally makes even being wrong feel like getting something done. And that is the addictive part for people.
interestpiqued··on Wired headphone sales are exploding
A bit off topic, but I sometimes wonder if OpenOffice would have become as prevalent without wireless ANC headsets be coming the default for focus.
interestpiqued··on After outages, Amazon to make senior engineers sign off on AI-assisted changes
I’m confused, are you saying that making a design plan and high level spec before hand doesn’t work?
interestpiqued··on After outages, Amazon to make senior engineers sign off on AI-assisted changes
Spec should be made before hand and agreed on by stakeholders. It says what it should do. So it’s for whoever is implementing, modifying, and/or testing the code. And unfortunately devs have a tendency of poor documentation
interestpiqued··on After outages, Amazon to make senior engineers sign off on AI-assisted changes
You’re missing the point of a spec
interestpiqued··on Florida judge rules red light camera tickets are unconstitutional
It seems in this case they’re not asking, they’re accusing and saying I need to prove otherwise. I think that is substantively different

Edit: subpoena is not a criminal charge afaik is what I’m saying
