inp··on Signal: The Pqxdh Key Agreement Protocol
Yes, and moreover, they just add a shared secret in the computation of the initial root key, it cannot be worse in this case.
inp··on Signal: The Pqxdh Key Agreement Protocol
What about this "Concatenating Secrets May Be Dangerous"? https://mailarchive.ietf.org/arch/msg/tls/F4SVeL2xbGPaPB2GW_...
inp··on Postbank to replace 12M bank cards after employees steal 'master key'
Even KeePass recommends to write the master secret key on a piece of paper. Sure, it must be in a secure place, but we cannot avoid this step for reliability.

You can apply the awk command on a pipe, and so it is applies on each line of the file/stream.
inp··on Problem solving with Unix commands
Really nice link! Thanks fforflo.
inp··on Problem solving with Unix commands
Instead to create a script in Python to convert numbers in integers, you can use awk: "python3 parse.py" becomes "awk '{printf "%d\n", $0}'"

inp··on What language should I learn (other than English) for science/tech content?
A good idea is maybe to focus on the English and the science/tech content, not on another language.

inp··on Ask HN: I want to study physics. Where should I start?
You must read the courses of Richard Feynman, the best books on physics ever :-)
inp··on Ask HN: How do you manage your mental health?
Totally agree. I go the work with my bike, it's good for mental and physic health. When I go back to my home - and if I don't have extra-urgent work, then I shutdown my laptop, my mobile phone, and enjoy the evening with my wife or with some quiet reading as story (not too technical stuffs to have good nights). Yes, of course, take breath and sleep as much as possible.
inp··on Microsoft deploys first ocean floor data center
Thanks for this news. The video is interesting. I am wondering: if only one cable can transport all this data, why we cannot have more speed with personal Internet box? This is only an economic reason?
inp··on Ask HN: Tagging HN articles
For me, the strenght of HN is its minimalist side. Too many options are not always good.
inp··on Crypto Christmas Calendar
Great link! Thank you.
inp··on Berlin's Plan to Become a City for Cyclists

inp··on The “Slow iPhone” Phenomenon

inp··on Ask HN: What are the books to learn the hacker culture?

inp··on Ask HN: What are the books to learn the hacker culture?
Thank you for this reference.
inp··on Ask HN: What are your long-term goals?
I recently decide to read and understand the famous book of Hardy "Introduction to the Number Theory". It is a big book and my strategy is to read it slowly but with perseverance and patience. I think these two points are very important and maybe the key to achieve all our goals. Nowadays, every thing go fast and we forget to take time to learn or to understand ideas, concepts, etc. Each time you have some free minutes, do things that help you to achieve your goal. Small steps are very important.
inp··on Ask HN: Do you want open source or free software?
I think to RedHat, the Linux distribution. With the not-free version, the user can have a support from the RedHat team.
inp··on Ask HN: If Quantum Computers Destroy Keypair Encryption, What Are Alternatives?
A very good ressource: https://pqcrypto.org/
inp··on Linux Founder Linus Torvalds Uses Gnome3
Thank you for this video. It's always inspiring to see in action these great persons.
inp··on Ask HN: Why Python is important for you?
I don't know if Python is important but it is a very good programming language to learn how to program since the code writing is very close of the original algorithm and since it is very simple (no problem of memory or of variable type). But to understand how the memory access works, it is not the best ;-)
inp··on From Bash to Zsh to Fish
Great discovery of fish! Thank you.
