Twitter would disagree[0].

It's only a matter of time until it happens to other systems too. Take rust for example where folks can install software via `cargo install <global name package>`. Top that off with fact that during compile (as an attacker) you have full access to your victims computer[0].

Python just happens to have more popularity for now.

I think golang gets this right where you need the full package name to have it be usable with get/build/install commands.

You've actually described what true TDD is, you test requirements which leaves you free to change your implementation without fear that you have broken anything. Also (as you have pointed out) makes writing a faster implementation much easier.

imran-iq··on Steam Now Offers 90-Minute Game Trials
And only 25% have gotten `Champion of Terraria` which means about 2/3rds of players did not reach the "end" of the game. That is inline with the linked article which states:

> “Statistically, most players don’t finish games. We’ve all seen numbers that say something like a third [do finish games], on average," Rouse III said later in the presentation.

Note: I do not play terraria and am assuming moon lord is the end game boss from here: https://terraria.fandom.com/wiki/Moon_Lord

imran-iq··on Steam Now Offers 90-Minute Game Trials
This already happens. Most people do not complete games[0]. You can verify by checking out the achievements for various games. This already leads to games having fun beginnings but lacklustre end games

imran-iq··on Steam Now Offers 90-Minute Game Trials
Honestly if you are running any game on your system, you do not really care about security (because most game devs don't care about security, just performance). https://secret.club/2021/04/20/source-engine-rce-invite.html

imran-iq··on Functionality that has been deprecated in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9
Except most major distros have been shipping with wayland as the default for a while now. X has been considered deprecated from a long while now (at least 2019) when all the devs went to go work on wayland
imran-iq··on Functionality that has been deprecated in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9
The wayland devs ARE the Xorg devs. They all decided that Xorg wasn't worth maintaining because it has too much legacy baggage[0]. The rest is just a bunch of entitled whining users that dont like change.

imran-iq··on Microsoft tests Windows account menu error badge when Microsoft Account not used
> I had to restart my installation process with Internet disconnected.

No way! Thankfully I went for windows 10 which did not need me to unplug the internet (just a hidden option down to the side), but that's just awful.

imran-iq··on Microsoft tests Windows account menu error badge when Microsoft Account not used
> It depends on what my needs are.

Unfortunately Microsoft/windows does not care what your needs are, it only cares about data collection and ads.

I recently had to install windows in a vm because I could not get adobe reader working through wine. The install process was awful:

* Dark pattern to try and force me to login with a MS account during setup

* Majority of setup steps pertain to data collection and/or ads

After setting it up, I had to open up edge to download and install adobe reader, once again

* Nags me to login to an account

* Most if not all setup steps are about ads and data collection

All for the sake of filling out some pdfs. I am truly grateful that Valve is pushing proton as it makes me (almost never) have to leave linux.
