Most publishers we talk to love it. We want to open up this data and allow creative applications of achievements, both in the given community and in the wider social graph.
Kongregate's system is nice though.
So the question is not the value of the book to society, but the percentage of the value the author should get versus everyone else in the stack.
edit: hmm, it has a fan as noonespecial says. So I guess that is almost a non-question
Is that on a linux box?
The world will definitely be a poorer place without him.
But Bing wins with the front page: http://www.bing.com/search?q=pirate+bay&go=&form=QBL...
On a side note: The way bing shows the first result it made it feel like an ad and I skipped it the first time.
Also: The related search results in Bing are quite useful.
edit: though some thing in an autobiography might not be things that make you happy but might increase its interest for the reader.
Sure, I agree. I did that
> The article blurbed something about exercise and a strong body
You mis-understood or I did not communicate properly my sentance I said "Exercise myself to the highest potential". I meant exercise in the sense or work to my fullest potential. "blurbed" seems like a bit of an unnecessarily argumentative phrase.
> As soon as you put the more or less words before successful you lost the game
Hmm, I think you view a lack of success is a negative thing, where as I view degrees of success as a way of something to achieve. If you just think you are success and have nothing to achieve then that is fine. It personally drives me. None of my metrics were particularly materialistic
Any way this is just my opinion, I am not trying to impose it on you
What about the degree of success? Are you more successful if the most people possible are crying with the greatest passion?
Shouldn't success give you a more enjoyable life while you are still alive?
I think it would be more than 90%.
I get why some human issues lead to catastrophe like, global warming, but I never get why all issues will lead to catastrophes rather than gradual equilibrium.
Any effort to address the problem is better than nothing.
A good hackers 6 month savings applied to him living a scrappy bootstrapped lifestyle could give a year of living on CC debt.
The article only mentioned Skype "is on track to take in more than $600 million in revenue this year."
If Skype is a low margin business than the profits might be very low. Given that they have such competitive pricing I can't imagine they have that high a margin.
But I think PG was mainly referring to non-US YC applicants that want to continue staying in the valley after the 3 months. In general a YC round is about 10-20% foreign
