I Will tell you something I wish my psychology would had told me: go some weeks to the coolest hostel you can. Don't go with your laptop, go just to have fun, meet people, to enjoy your present, that you are fucking alive. In fact if the hostel is good, you will be able to make at least 20 new "friends" almost fucking instantly. You will hear so many different life stories and you will tell yours. This year I went to one with some friends after living a big depression of the same "working" feeling and just by the second day I was feeling "fuck I wish I had done this way before ". I overstayed alone for two more weeks than my friends. I even ended working in and from the hostel and staying for free. Hope it helps you as it did for me.

The storytelling, the design and the animations are just sick.

It was awesome 1 year ago and I think I it supports annotations now, so I'd go for it.

1. Force yourself to find inspiration anywhere possible (you need new perspectives)

2. Get an idea that moves you

3. Do it

I ended up in a river because of switching a Spotify playlist. It was a miracle that saved my friends and me. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, PUT YOUR PHONE AWAY WHILE DRIVING. NOTHING, NOTHING CAN'T BE MORE IMPORTANT IN THOSE MINUTES YOU DRIVE THAT YOUR OR OTHER PEOPLES' LIFE. Want to check your phone? stop, check it and continue.

DON'T PLEASE. You have at least 3 million people to meet and help you. Contact me if you want to stay home someday https://www.couchsurfing.org/people/imton/

I have been hosting 30+ people in Montevideo, Uruguay since 2011 and while I find CouchSurfing not as beautiful/user-friendly as AirBnb I really don't care. And I am a designer. The community at least in my country is and still really strong. I haven't had a single problem whatsoever and It really changed me for the better in an immeasurable way. Maybe other startup can hit the nail on the usability, credibility, signal-to-noise ratio. As a host who receive +5req / weekly, the main filter is always yourself. You need to do your due-diligence (aka stalking) and set your own rules. There's way more good people than bad people. Fortunately I haven't find one of the latter.

TL;DR; Join. So far there's no other community like couchsurfing, take the best of it. It will impact you deeply.

In Uruguay we have CocaCola with Stevia. Are we the only ones ? I think they are testing it. As a Diet Pepsi fan, I really liked it.

Should I? I don't know why, but I feel it doesn't feets npm. Why would someone want to get this from npm?

Btw. I build a wrapper around nw.js for those who prefer a stand-alone app, looks like native.

I am sorry but AS autocomplete takes seconds to appear on my rMBP. xCode flies. I write methods and I see the docs on the right. I can cntrl+click and see the full docs. Let's not talk about the Quality of the Apple docs compared to android's, or debugging and instruments tools.

I am sorry to disappoint you. I wrote a huge app in Java and in Kotlin. Months of develoments. xCode still years ahead of AS in every sense. Inheriting another company IDE is philosophically wrong, but that's the way Android and Google work. Maybe I love details too much.

xCode today is and extremely sophisticated IDE. I think there's no other software more complex than it that is so well designed to maintain simplicity, ease of use and speed. It was ultra slow years before, but nowadays every time I develop for Android I'd kill for having an xCode like realtime autocomplete and documentation. XCode it's extremely solid and you feel it every time you use it. Android Studio is build on Java, then it's slow and the UI is nowhere near as polished as Xcode. If I were Google I'd start coding my own IDE from zero ASAP.

This is one of the best interviews I've ever read/seen from him. Why? because it's different. It really seems it was made in a very pessimist time for him, he didn't even believed he could revolutionize anything anymore with tech.

It's amazing the passion he had for design in the product creation.

As an Uruguayan I can't be prouder. For the tech community knowledge he supported deploying FTTH and LTE country wide with even free plans if you can not pay for it. He's a hero in many ways, like it or not.

"Innovating is a byproduct."

Extremely simple but powerful phrase.

really? I feel put or post are more appropiate :s

Actions like: retry, complete, select...

Maps is also affected.

This is getting good. Finally. I love Steve and menu other top execs, but even prison fits rasonably here.

What a waste of time. Their employees and exec team should really pivot into whatever field they want and with that UX and know how they wil nail it.

I am more than open to vocabulary and grammar suggestions and corrections. My native language isn't english. Thanks for reading.

I'm Uruguayan and I love my country but please, Argentina is at least 2 or 3 times cheaper in everything and you have way more options and things to do.

Also, I've just came from Buenos Aires, Argentina yesterday, me and my friends feel way more safe in Buenos Aires' streets than in Montevideo. We are really far from perfect.

Is it me or with NSA entities power we do not live in democracy anymore? They can manipulate everything, from google results, voice, emails to the actuals votes.

While it is really volatile, it is always going up and up. At least that seems to be the trend.

This is a revolution. This is total free market. The rules are new and might not be near similar to any other trading.
