People calling the XBox 1 a car, not realizing that consoles are the horse and Steam/online digital gaming is the car, since you can buy a functional new gaming computer (laptop!) that can play any modern game for $400 or less, a $499 price point on the XBox makes no sense at all.
I mostly eat protein power drinks with almond milk, basic grains, vegetables, very lean meats, etc. etc.
I used to be a professional cook. I now cannot eat anything remotely fun or tasty. But soylent seems like one thing I could actually add to my regimen.

Diaspora as it has been, is centralized, and doesn't seem to be anything but a smaller, crappier Facebook.
Friendica does what Diaspora was supposed to do, and well, and can integrate with the Facebook API and download your personal Facebook feed into your Friendica feed.
The purpose of automation is to make our lives easier. We have to think that a bum living on the street is not a drain on society, in a lot of ways he is doing more "work" just to keep himself alive than the average wage-slave. We need to stop thinking that "work" is somehow the goal of a person's life and transition to "enjoyment" being the goal.
Recorded music will always be the profit center. Live performances are only good for promoting a band's records; it's easier to sell 1,000,000 records than it is to sell tickets for 1,000,000 seats.
