ignatif··on Apple announces changes for apps in the European Union
all my app builds in testsflight became unavailable since yesterday (it looks fine on appstoreconnect, but im unable to update the app if i roll out new build as a tester)

does anyone experience the same?

ignatif··on Ask HN: What are you working on? (August 2026)
im planning to add support for e2b and maybe other sandbox providers (and ability to connect to your home server as well)

why sprites appealed to me is that they are stateful (the disk survives sleep and wake up) and that they are fast to wake up (and it’s not a 24/7 running vm in a traditional sense)

making my own infra for that - not sure im in capacity atm

ignatif··on Ask HN: What are you working on? (August 2026)
sprites pricing is exactly down to a minute (or even second)

and sandboxes only operate when the agents is running and sleep when not. wake up time is super quick, under 5 seconds

(on my side tho if i make it commercial, im thinking of making it free under 3 sprites/sandboxes and small subscription fee or one time payment for above)

ignatif··on Ask HN: What are you working on? (August 2026)
i'm working on a mobile app which spins up https://sprites.dev/ sandboxes, allows you to log in with your coding agent cli/subscription (claude code and codex currently supported), connect other services (github, vercel) and run+manage your coding agents in a convenient chat interface

it's for people who dont own a home server, don't like to keep their laptops open and working, don't want to trust on magical stuff openclaw does and instead would like to work with the usual harness they are working with day-to-day, don't want to be vendor-locked (crush/opencode/glm-5.2 and other models/providers support to come) but want to have a way to execute ideas while being away from their laptops

the demo is available on testflight and going to be released to play market soon as well

it's very alpha version but it's functional

lmk if anyone would like to test

i'm working on a mobile app to control coding agents (claude code / codex / opencode / crush) from your phone

it uses https://sprites.dev/ sandboxes to run agents

Couple of things about me:

  - Stared working as a software developer in 2016
  - Have some UI/UX background (2 years)
  - Been working on multiple startups as either solo founder or co-founder (most of them failed, but here's the one which worked quite well: https://chronos.web-pal.com/)
  - Most of the time been doing freelance work, never worked in big/medium corporations
  - Very curious about AI/LLM world and have some expertise in this field as well
Ideally I am looking for a contract based jobs but open to other opportunities

SEEKING WORK | Armenia (EMEA) | REMOTE (relocate ok)

Developer, designer, entrepreneur (“And I said, no, mom, I'm an entrepreneur. And she said, no, you're unemployed.” — Brian Chesky)

Entrepreneur means I don't have a strictly technical mindset and can prioritize things according to what you currently need (eg I know how to execute things fast in order to validate ideas and find the market fit).

Designer means I can make things look pretty enough (so you don't have to onboard the actual designer too early on).

Developer means I can execute it.

___

Most proficient with the following tech stack: React, Next.js, Node, Express, Prisma, Hasura, Apollo, GraphQL, Tailwind, React Native, Electron, building Chrome extensions .. so on

Also have experience utilizing LLMs (RAG, fine-tuning, function calling, etc).

Some of my previous projects can be found here: https://github.com/oogxdd

Ideally I'd like to join a startup as a technical founder or find some contract work (3-6 months). But open to other opportunities as well

Drop me a message at ignatif@gmail.com to discuss more

ignatif··on Show HN: Chrome extension that summarizes text content using DistilBART model
Yeah I'm currently on a free trial of startup plan :)

Dunno what I'm gonna do next. Interested in becoming an angel? :D

ignatif··on Show HN: Chrome extension that summarizes text content using DistilBART model
Plugin collects users Google OpenID and number of characters used for summarization. No emails or other personal information is collected

Summarization request gets proxied to the Huggingface Inference API. According to https://huggingface.co/inference-api they claim to protect the data and not share it with third parties.

On examples - thank you for the comment, I'm thinking of recording a video and improving screenshots etc. Right now it's the earliest launch to hear people opinions

I'm not sure if the model can dismiss facts. From BART model paper:

"Because BART has an autoregressive decoder, it can be directly fine tuned for sequence generation tasks such as abstractive question answering and summarization. In both of these tasks, information is copied from the input but manipulated, which is closely related to the denoising pre-training objective."

"Information is copied but manipulated" - idk if it can lead to the factual mistakes and disinformation. Knowledgable opinions are best welcomed!
