if you want to practice data-manipulation, and a lot of the map reduce type stuff you can do with spark, I find Pandas useful for small datasets (And a lot of overlap in functionality as far as Dataframes are concerned)
For pipeline stuff, definitely take a look at Luigi, but again without a cluster it'll be less fun. Still, if you can try automating tasks with a mini luigi scheduler on your localhost, it would be good practice
Shotwell, Music, Nautilus, and Gedit are brilliant and simple to use applications.
they are. back in the day they were charged with terrorism, principally. Among sabotage and other crimes. One of the rare examples of terrorism being used outside of either a wartime threat or leftist organization/labor union.

How come you store the chat messages?
That's why I think it's strange it is licensed CC.
OpenShot is an imovie like video editor, I like it because it's easy to use
Rhythmbox is a featureful itunes-like music player.
Audacity isn't protools, but it's great for mixing audio
There is a project called DREaM, at McGill to standardize for "distance reading" (macro analysis).[1] It uses a program called VARD (a text preprocessor trained to correct spelling).[2]
Strangely, this application is licensed with the creative commons. I think this means that it is closed source. Does anyone know of any open source alternatives?
It cannot handle such an immense amount of data,[3]

It's much faster, no?
Anyway, the accuracy of the study depends on a self-report.
we haven't been developing English for thousands of years. Who knows what will happen then! We'll be speaking in python no doubt.
Chompsky writes: "The policies are quite clear. Their roots go back to the 1967 war and they have been pursued with particular dedication since the Oslo Accords of September 1993.
The Accords determined that Gaza and the West Bank are an indivisible territorial entity. Israel and the U.S. moved at once to separate them, which means that any autonomy Palestinians might gain in the West Bank will have no direct access to the outside world."
I don't think she intends to give up and renounce it all (in fact it sounds like she's looking for new spaces to take action. She (quite candidly) relates her struggle mixing maturing political views with the clichey activist scene in Montreal -- which as she correctly points out (I too live in Montreal) is like any subculture, ripe with dogmatism.
Just because she doesn't fall into your category of left doesn't mean she isn't a part of it. That is the very problem.
Advertising does more than detract from user experience. It is formative of consumer desire. Targeted ads in Vogue are appealing because I opt in to them. The information used to target me on the internet are behind my back. They support an incomplete feedback loop used by statistics to identify what market I belong in. I think this is what has a negative effect on user experience.
