iambot··on Node Knockout Leaderboard
internal server error ... something wrong with your templates perhaps
iambot··on Show HN: Turf, a geo-social warfare app, my NKO submission
yeah, as a one man team it was a scramble to be allt he "vanity pages" up in time - user pages being one of them, i cant commit anymore and linking to twitter profiles would have been far better, but having an ap that didnt crash was higher priority.

lots of the features that dont work now are there in code, but commented out cus i couldnt afford for them to influence the apps ability to stay online. a shame really. :)

thanks tho

iambot··on Entries — Node.js Knockout
This is my entry: http://turf.no.de ,

Turf is a geo-social warfare app, where you stake a claim to your territory, and fend off those that try claim it for themselves.

Log in. tag your location. defend your turf.

if you like it please vote using the vote button on the app :)

Whoa, nope, never heard-of/seen that one before now, (I hate it when that happens.)
iambot··on Show HN: Turf, a geo-social warfare app, my NKO submission
I know its not finished, and it pains me to no end, but as a solo contestant just starting out in Node, twas the best I could do in 48 hours.

EDIT: Pity/consolation votes welcome :)

iambot··on An XMPP server with Node.js
all the node.js peeps will be frantically trying to sort out their @node_knockout projects, I hope those that need it see this in time
iambot··on $99 TouchPad a hit, as Ubuntu and Android ports emerge
at my work the devs have ordered like 2-3 each and 6 for other employees, so £90 for an android tablet is brilliant, the ubuntu port is news to me though, but all the better
iambot··on Hacker Panel: Bookmarklet to pull up or start the HN discussion for any web page
id did it by hand and found some weird shit, see my comment.
iambot··on Hacker Panel: Bookmarklet to pull up or start the HN discussion for any web page
hey @chetan51, i was having a look at your bookmarklet code (out of interests sake), and notice this snippet:

  > panel_html...eturn panel_frame.attr("src"
what confuses the shit out of me is those 3 dots dont look like valid javascript, but firebug shows no errors in it. could you enlighten me, or am i missing something obvious.

see: https://gist.github.com/1164846

all i did was add line breaks etc, no other editing

iambot··on Batman.js - fighting crime and kicking apps
is this an open source project? not much to be found other than a launch page...some screenshots and minimal code "examples".
iambot··on Ask HN: Feedback on project
hey,

The nav at the top, right hand background-image isn't rendering on my ff5/win7 ".details .tabnav li a span".

as so: http://imm.io/7KxD

Also, I'd stay well away from centered text if I were you. And the Red highligthed text is quite disconcerting seeing as they arn't hyperlinks.

Hope that helps :) even if its not technical feedback.

iambot··on Ask HN: Finding a polygon given a list of random coords?
thank you, I appreciated you taking the time to answer. As with other comments on this thead, this is exactly the info I was looking for.
iambot··on Ask HN: Finding a polygon given a list of random coords?
yes thats exactly what im looking for, thanks for the terminology, it makes it easier to find what I need if i actually know what I'm looking for.
iambot··on Ask HN: Finding a polygon given a list of random coords?
streets dont matter, and thanks for the answer, are there any libraries for doing calulation like this, or would i have to write it manually?
iambot··on Build Command Line Applications in Node.js
brilliant post, well worth a good going through for anyone interested in node.js
iambot··on Ask HN: Is Your Startup a Side Project or Full Time?
im a side-project guy myself, though i cant wait to be able to work full-time on either my startup/concept or another that im equally passionate about
iambot··on Google Images
why is this post titled "Google Images" ? I either don't see the connection or the title is misleading.
iambot··on Ask HN: Would you hire an entry-level candidate with unrelated experience?
I suppose it depends what industries (specifically), I did that from retail/advertising design -> web design -> font-end development. Now I can safely do a "fair" amount of server side development as well.
iambot··on Ask HN: I need someone who is 100 times better than me
Short answer: Contribute to open-source.
iambot··on Evolving the Node.js Brand
Fair comment, I apologise.

While alot of what influenced my opinion of the logo is pure subjectivity...

  > The angled infrastructure encourages energy to move through the letterforms
I don't feel that it encourages "energy" to move through the letterforms, and the fact that each letterform is rendered as a self contained "hex", hinders the flow of the logo-type.

Also I feel that the logo is overly styled (my subjective opinion)

iambot··on Evolving the Node.js Brand
yeah i dont like the new branding...speaking as a designer, i actually prefer the current/old branding at nodejs.org
iambot··on Fluxflex: GitHub integrated cloud hosting, starting at $1/month
Seriously, why do you need so many rights to my twitter account!!? i don't think that's necessary...

Also: got a 500 error on signup (via email/password)

iambot··on Suggest HN: Hacker news circle on Google+

iambot··on Get Google+ Invitation.
thanks for the email, but the notification received still didn't have the ability to invite me, but merely redirected me to: https://plus.google.com/u/0/up/start/?sw=1&type=st
iambot··on Mark Zuckerberg's profile on Google+
At the risk of stating the obvious, I don't think its really him, but a nice bit of PR either way - subtle.
