You could argue that they did it in the stupidest way though.
Is this supposed to be evidence of a sound company or a strike against them?
After Wework I really can't tell.
But it's also hard to get the prices up enough without people just getting off their lazy asses and buying food.
source: price goes up I get up off my lazy ass.
It seems like everyone does that.
and it makes sense cause if given any chance to do it I'd jump on it immediately.
What if instead of china he started talking about how white people need to start driving the lesser races out? Should blizzard still be required to associate with him? Is anything less than business as normal too much of an impingement on his rights?
What happened to him is just business. If you don't like it (I don't), then blame capitalism (I do).
You might notice the part where the people who offended china are lauded and the cowardly companies are being lambasted for failing to stand up to china.
Socialism, yeah okay. Pro-censorship?
oh wait, capitalism. Nevermind. Let's pander to them instead.
"Many Experts Say We Shouldn’t Worry About Superintelligent AI. They’re Wrong"
I dunno, I might listen to the AI experts on this one.
Unemployment sucks but I was miserable.
They should have stuck to the other times he defended pedophilia and child porn instead.
based on their culture deck it doesn't seem great.
Purely from the standpoint of maximizing value I mean.
It's not much of a learning experience if all you get is rewards. Even if he's bitter that the rewards weren't as much as he wanted.
It is shocking, and kind of infuriating, that he whines about going public being his biggest mistake when the only reason it was a problem was because of his companies questionable behaviour.
- Founders getting to take cash out earlier
- employees with golden handcuffs that could last forever
- Questionable to outright illegal behavior being completely okay in the private market
- Insane levels of founder control
- massive VC firms willing to pump in enough late money to take pressure off earlier VCs
Then why go public? Especially if a lot of companies seemingly can't survive the IPO completely intact. Just look at WeWork
