human_error··on John McAfee on How To Uninstall McAfee Antivirus
He's quite good looking for his age.
human_error··on Chinese boy defaces ancient Egyptian sculpture, prompts online outrage
Wasn't there a guard or someone in charge to stop him scrawling his name? It should take long enough to notice scrawling something that large.
human_error··on GeoGuessr: Guess the location from Google street view
Interestingly my guesses based on roads (when it was middle of nowhere) were all wrong. I always mixed Australia and South American countries. Cool game though.
human_error··on What's next Google? Dropping SMTP support?
Don't give them ideas!
human_error··on Parallelism and concurrency need different tools
Correct me if I'm wrong but Cilk and Cilk Plus are different technologies so I'd write Cilk Plus instead of Cilk to prevent confusion. And where's Scala with Akka? Nice post though.
human_error··on Go 1.1 is released
web.go is influenced from web.py.
human_error··on Programming in D
I'm interested in D but lack of tutorials/documentation have always kept me away from it. It'd be cool if it had something similar to Python's tutorial.
human_error··on Git? tig
I don't see why you can't direct link to the mode itself: http://jonas.nitro.dk/tig/
human_error··on Let's Make GitHub Better, Together
I feel like GitHub needs something similar to Google Groups for projects. I think that would come in handy.
human_error··on How to use a Reddit-clone to boost company culture
reddit is open source. Is there a reason why you didn't use its codebase and built one from scratch?
human_error··on Year 2038 problem
This has been fixed couple of years ago in mortgage systems.
human_error··on What a stupid idea
I think the key point isn't if an idea stupid or smart. It seems to me the key point is more like how you execute the idea.
human_error··on Hacking Flask: A Success Story
Have you considered wheezy.web?
human_error··on Show HN: Hospice.io – Vagrant configurations generator
Could you please add lighttpd as well?
human_error··on Mozilla TowTruck – real-time collaboration on any site
I feel like Mozilla is currently what Google was once upon a time (around 2005).
human_error··on My Startup Failed. Fuck.
That was my interpretation as well and I didn't like "sell your sh!t" thing. I don't think a musician would like his art to be called shit.
human_error··on New Persona Beta: Millions of Users Ready to Log In using Any Browser
> Yahoo only knows that you're using your Yahoo identity with Persona

But Yahoo still knows that I'm on that website.

human_error··on Show HN: Pinry, a self-hosted Pinterest
Pinterest itself is built on Django as well.
human_error··on Godit - A very religious text editor written in Go
I think Gomacs or Gemacs would've been better name. It looks so similar to emacs.
human_error··on Static site generation on python
> I don't really understand why reST is so unpopular compared to Markdown.

Markdown is so much simpler than Rest.

human_error··on Bootstrap 2.3 Released
Yes but it's unprofessional way to use it to describe context in this case. He's not talking with a friend. He's making an announcement.
human_error··on Do Not Type "File:///" in OS X
I think it only affects 10.8. I have tried the suggested methods of this thread in Chrome, TextEdit, iTunes, terminal and Safari but nothing happened in 10.6.8.
human_error··on Why Facebook will never make a significant profit
> As soon as FB charges for logins

"Facebook is free and always will be". It's on the homepage.

human_error··on A New Look for Facebook
Facebook is about displaying posts in descending order. This screenshot is way to confusing. It's too hard to follow posts. It may work for, say, Pinterest but it wouldn't work for Twitter and Facebook.
human_error··on Look out Sublime and Textmate ... here comes Brackets (stunning)
It's quite misleading. Sublime and Textmate support lots of languages whereas as far as I can see Brackets is only for HTML/CSS/JS.
human_error··on Richard Stallman calls Ubuntu “spyware” because it tracks searches
If you're on static IP it's not really anonymous. It wouldn't take too much time to associate the IP and the user.
human_error··on A static website generator in Python
Do we really need another one? What's the point of creating these static website generators in Python?
human_error··on The Erlang Stack
It's on the list.
human_error··on Why Opera thrives in Europe’s last dictatorship
I had the same experience with Safari but it worked fine with Chrome.
human_error··on Python for Humans
Looks like Ubuntu Mono.
