Watching news can distort your perspective very quickly.
A lot of people that retire from their careers pursue other interests that fulfill their needs, maybe it will be the era of amateur artists everywhere. Others prefer to manually do tasks that can be automated.
Others could engage in cooperation with robots because humans will always have creative desires.
Express was really cool and different from what was out there at the time (at least in terms of simplicity and JS support).
But nowadays there's not a lot of difference between them. Sure, some are more ergonomic than others in certain areas but the patterns are almost the same in all of them.
You can let it draft an initial approach to a small task and then you refine it, I've found this works well, and in practical terms, I end up less tired after working in collaboration with Copilot.
I don't expect it to give me the perfect answer, and it doesn't remove the need for tests (which it can also help creating). But as an assistant? It rocks.
Some companies culture just suck and you can tell it really quickly, trying to pursue those positions is a waste of valuable energy.
I think the worst interviewers are developers that are not senior yet and will try to favor cleverness over what's actually valuable. They tend to ask the questions you can easily google.
