hswolff··on Yarn – A new package manager for JavaScript
This is super exciting! Really excited to try this out and glad to see innovation in this area.

I'm also bummed cuz I've been working on a static site generator for over a year written in node called Yarn as well[1].

I guess it's time for a rename! Any suggestions? :D

Something I have in my todo list is to use the new angular router (https://github.com/angular/router/) however it doesn't appear to be currently available for angular 2. See issue https://github.com/angular/router/issues/233.
hswolff··on Hacker News written with Angular 2.0
author here, Are you still seeing that? Can you open an issue with further details please?

hswolff··on Inside Genius’s $40M Fundraise
Curious how much that domain cost.
hswolff··on Don't Deal With It, Fix It
Ah! I finally remembered what the issue was! I updated the post with what the offending issue was.
hswolff··on Don't Deal With It, Fix It
author here: I couldn't remember clearly if the issue that was fixed was the block cursor one or something else. It would prove logical that the only one I can remember is the actual issue discussed, but I can't be sure.

Aside the focus was on the act and impulse rather than the actual issue.

Aside number two, I had a few glasses of red wine while writing this. I find it helps get the words flowing, but the memory fuzzy. ;)

hswolff··on Amazon Fire TV
Does this support playing local media? It seems like no, but I couldn't find any explicit answer.

At the least seems like there will be a paid version: https://github.com/atom/welcome/blob/master/lib/welcome.md

Very proud of this release and so glad that I was able to lend a hand in getting it out the door. Can't wait for 0.5 :D (and can't wait to find out its code name).

hswolff··on Firechat: an open-source chat module, built with Firebase
I played around with firebase and AngularJS over the weekend. Had a lot of fun, firebase was really easy to use (once I understand how the data was structured).

I open sourced the code as well: https://github.com/hswolff/bringthesalsa . Direct link to the app here: http://bringthesalsa.hswolff.com/#/ . Blog post here: http://harrywolff.com/weekend-project-bring-the-salsa/

hswolff··on Github: Notifications & Stars
This is awesome! I made a Chrome Extension (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/kfhdalekdpifhlndhc...) a few months ago that Stars has completely Sherlocked, but I'm happy for the native support of bookmarking a repo.

Kudos Github!

Edit: Also looks like it broke my plugin. Hrm...need to fix that.
