I am not saying trusting your memory is always false or true. Most of the times it might be true. It's a heuristic.
But if someone comes and deny what you did, the best course of action would be to consider the evidence they have and not assume they are stupid because they believe differently.
Let's be honest, you have not personally went and verified the rocks belongs to Moon. Nor were you tracking the telemetry data in your computer when the rocket was going to Moon.
I also believe we went to Moon.
But all I have is beliefs.
Everyone believed Early was flat 1000s years back as well. They had solid evidence.
But the humility is accepting you don't know and you are believing and not pretend you are above others who believe exact opposite..
You are assuming you know what best experience you can experience by looking at the past. But this is not necessarily correct. Don't assume you know the answer. Try new things. Some of the best experiences come from within. Boy you would be surprised:)
This is dumb. No matter how many thousands of pages you write you cannot convey the feeling of these without experiencing it. So might as well as summarize it.
People who have only seen non tree plants doesn't exist.
And nor does any non tree plant leaves help you generate a tree leaf.
Hmm. This is a circular definition. You need to invoke tree to define leaves and wood.
I was not talking about meaning. I think it's a false assumption that you need meaning to have a fulfilling life. Meaning just creates a feeling. So you are really focused on the feeling and not the act itself or implications.
Like you don't want to do an act which is logically meaningful and feel depressed after doing it. You want to feel good after doing meaningful act. So it's all about feeling. And not meaning.
0 experiential knowledge.
So consciousness can generate an infinity of experiences.
So no reason to think one experience is somehow more special than any other experience since all experiences passes and go no matter how profound you feel.
Even profound feelings are just appearance in consciousness.
Even if you die and go to heaven that's still appearance in consciousness.
Even time is an appearance in consciousness.
So given all that, is there anything to chase?
Are we stuck here forever?
Nothing to gain or loose.
Now, you cannot worship consciousness as humans because it's invisible and you can never imagine it. You need a version of consciousness that you can see as well as you can relate to. So cultures invent localized version of God which people can relate to. And of course it will have attributes similar to that of the culture. But the properties kind of still hold. Like all knowing, powerful etc.
I am not interested in that.
I am interested in the thing in which all the made up stuff appears. And the thoughts and mind appears. Even I appear in that.
