Nevertheless I learned, much to my surprise, that most of the state's natural gas system (which supplies the majority of energy for electrical generation and lots of home heating) had frozen. I (naively) thought that would be impossible since methane doesn't even turn into a liquid at any temperature ever to occur on Earth, but it turns out there's plenty of water mixed in hydrocarbon deposits.
I suspect the governor knew (or could easily have been told) all this, he just thinks he leads a state full of fools, and after a lifetime of observation, I'm inclined to concur.
What about fentanyl dealer? Hitman? Psychologist for a social media or tobacco company? Telemarketer?
At your age, you'll likely be on Medicare soon either way, but some of us are still decades away.
There was another story here this morning that got some discussion about how people are omitting children as a way of finding work-life balance; who can blame them?

Nevertheless, I'm sure if I had PG's wealth, I could have kids and have a lot better work life balance with them. But I do not.
If I were to create people in order to try and find some meaning but leaving them as adrift in this meaninglessness as I, would that really be a selfless act? It seems quite the opposite to me.
Perhaps this is indeed “cope” in one way or another, but it’s what I’ve felt from a very young age, though I think it took me a lot of reflection to realize it and be able to put it into words.
Looking at pro athletes is sort of instructive; essentially none of them have returned to play after a hip replacement (Bo Jackson kind of, but in limited capacity). A few, most famously Andy Murray, have returned after hip resurfacing, so it's probably about as close to a natural hip as possible, but likely still a bit inferior.
I'll say that I've worked along side my cousin's baby-daddy (I think in future I'll just call him "T" as that's less unwieldy), and he's a fine painter, but ultimately there just isn't that much to the job. I remember the first time I used a paint sprayer on a new construction job myself; basically you just need to learn where the trigger is and in a minute you can paint a wall that would take an hour with a roller.
