Literally the only thing I miss
I suspect we will eventually bifurcate as a society - those that are inextricably online, abstracted away from reality, and those that say "to hell with this, I'm looking elsewhere" and hit the power button.
Near every thought in your head is an abstracted away primal urge. Hunger, fear, security, etc - We justify and express these urges with our actions and thoughts and interactions each day. This mesh of impulses eventually creates patterns of behavior that form our identities.
We go about our lives viewing the world through the lens of this identity, with even our most selfless actions being driven by a reason derived from the rule set of the identity. This rule set is the "ego"
Ego death then is the temporary dissolution of the guiding ruleset of the identity. It is a self, without the self. You exist, but, often for the first time in your life, your mental and emotional rule set does not.
Often, without the blinders of the ego blocking a view of the world, a person experiencing ego death feels the unimportance of their existence - not in a bad way - but in a universal matter of fact state, shared by everything else. This is often the "awe" of ego death
Ah, the story of a generation
If it's called "mixed league" the intention is clear
Was real stoked for them at first, ended up tossing the bag midway through
For my personal expense, I have found a lot of men view other men as competitors to be guarded against. You can't begin to work with the building blocks of trust and communication without getting past that first barrier. So we often just stop at the gate.
In general, we as a society have not adjusted to technology. We've gone through to much change to have any stable base lines. So we're going to float in insanity for a while until things finally settle down. Probably 2 wars, a famine, and several periods of resource scarcity away still, but we'll get there one day...
In general I really like the idea of physical skill simulators like this. There are people who want to learn, but can't find a teacher irl for one reason or another. If we want to preserve these skills we need to start connecting the curious to effective training methods
The idolization of billionaires as paragons of leadership has led to average men with above average income convincing themselves they're an inch short of god.
We'll need a correction, many corrections even, to put this fad to bed.
