A bit of topic , but I wonder if people who are starting in this field not directly start on esp32 platforms. It's so damn easy to develop with AI on these platforms. In the past we spend a week on lcd drivers alone. Now one can build an entire application that controls other devices via serial, has its own fancy UI, has all kind of useless features like 40 languages, its own webserver, OTA, demo modes and more.

No. We need objectively around 192 to 512gb of very fast memory to be able to run really useful models. I don't see local hardware with these specs coming in 1 to 2 years. There are a big number of initiatives currently taking place to increase ram output. But it will take another 3 years minimum to close the current supply issues. China is fast pacing forward to have its own chip baking factories with small enough nano scales to have fast chips. Will also take a few years.

People talk like Ukraine is the first one doing this. Already in WW2 pilots had similar gamification where proof had to be filmed or with minimum witnesses. It probably goed back even further.

Indeed. For me opus 4.8 is good enough. If only it would be 100 times faster. You could run it in self verification loops much much faster. It sometimes takes 15 minutes for me to complete a simple task. For example configuring AWS agentcore and deploying an agent on it. Takes forever with Claude with constant issues it tries to solve.
The US is now getting money from every ship passing the street. How people not see that for the US the world is a game of command and conquer. They rule everything and if it's not ruled it gets bombed.
