hknozcanon I emailed the CEO of T-Mobile and he killed my contract

I used t-mobile from around 2000 to the end of 2007 in NYC. Never had any problems but data was not a big issue back then. They even assigned me a 212 mobile number from a batch of 10 numbers that they received.

With the right wording and timing, these things happen. Around 2002, I was searching what books to buy and e-mailed Amazon support what books Jeff Bezos has read in the past 6 months. They replied immediately to told me to ask him directly providing his e-mail address. I forwarded the e-mail and got a reply back with a list. This was even cooler than having a 212 number.

hknozcanon Ask HN: UX/Usability Lab Software & Equipment Recommendations

Thanks. A webcam will probably not be accurate enough and still need software to analyze and report the data. Tobii seems to be the best option for the eyetracker even tohugh it is expensive. For remote tracking, there are several options such as userzoom, eyetracking.com's eyeworks, Morae, loop11, etc..

But, still I am not sure what the ideal setting will be in terms of quality and price.

Haha. Like the foot. It is a nice touch.

hknozcanon PHP vs. Node.js

This is a flawed comparison. I love Node.js but it is not suitable for every type of site and is not an ideal replacement to PHP yet. For ex, CPU heavy apps with minimal use of IO are immensely bad use cases for node.js

hknozcanon Brilliant or insane code?

Short but I doubt this will be faster as noted.

hknozcanon Brilliant or insane code?

We all love short and fast. But this is definitely an interesting approach. I'd love to see similar approaches to problems if you guys can point out to some.

hknozcanon Ask HN: Do you get pain in your finger tips from typing all day?

Is it numbness or pain? I see noone brought up 'Carpal tunnel syndrome' yet. Can it be CTS?

hknozcanon An Open Letter to Google: Google Alerts Now Useless

I did not realize this either due to extensive email traffic but it makes sense. I took time and added a couple alerts the other day. If it is broken, why have us spend time and rely on it.

That's what I thought. I believe the actual number the number to be higher.

hknozcanon Breaking down Amazon's mega dropdown

Absolutely not. Yes, you might be able to hack something with outside help but knowing math it is the mind set that would allow you to build something like this in the first place. You can imagine solutions to problems because you might visualize how they can be solved.

hknozcanon Killing Your Startup on a Thursday Night

The level of honesty in the post is touching. Figuring out the right time to quit is as important as starting up. However, lack of outside funding especially after he looked for it might also be a sign that either the idea or the was he handled the business so far is not viable. 1000 tickets over that much time does not seem impressive. Again, inspiring post.
