hira_khan··on Fallacy of the Non-disclosure Agreement
Sounds like interesting argument. But what about processes , that might get the company some advantage? Replication might become easy. But the authors perspective is really strong
hira_khan··on Want to do a startup with bootstrapping!
I will try to answer the questions, to best of my knowledge. I understand traditional outsourcing has been detrimental to product development, and probably worked well for business process outsourcing. At GeniTeam, with a focus on high-tech startup, the processes and models are totally different to traditional outsourcing firms. I believe a dozen success stories will definitely help people give the model a thought. Hosting virtual team in Pakistan provided us with access to untapped skilled labor resources. With the recent surge in demand for skilled IT resources, startups won't be able to recruit resources within US; hence companies relying on innovative solutions to meet HR demands will get definitely get sustainable advantage. Despite the fact of my upbringing in Pakistan, the experience has been very good. The good universities in Pakistan e.g. LUMS, FAST, GIKI etc, builds basic problem solving skills, that can be applied across various problems. To instantiate the argument, I will share with you that our resources are working on ahead of curve technologies, i.e. Flex 2.0, Open Laszlo, Google Gears etc, for which it's even hard to find resources in USA.
hira_khan··on A Guide to Hiring Programmers: The High Cost of Low Quality
Hi Thanks for the critques. I beleive reasons for hiring virtual team with GeniTeam will have following pluses 1. Allow enterprenuers to develop cost effective solutions, while bootstrapping 2. I guess, trust is generally built based on success stories. For Rich Internet Application, we do have good work with various startups.

What do you think, should be done to get use a better feel of service?

hira_khan··on How to Take Advantage of the Coming Web 2.0 Crash
Right - But Web2.0 is really generating loads of internet traffic. we might revamp web contents using RIA concepts, but i personally dont think that people will crash away social networking utilities. Its like saying people wont be chatting any longer. Hira www.geniteam.com
hira_khan··on A Guide to Hiring Programmers: The High Cost of Low Quality
I liked the argument and stance taken. This is precisely what GeniTeam is doing to faciliate startups. HR Managers and all luxuries are possible for big companies, but not for startups. GeniTeam started its services on similar concept. Feel free to comment on GeniTeam's business model ( www.geniteam.com )
hira_khan··on Buxfer + Amazon = Transfer money online (Free till Aug 31)
Sounds like an interesting idea - Whats the user base of Buxfer at the moment ?
hira_khan··on Team Room in Flex2.0
I think we choose Flex for following reasons of Flash 1. Components are far more improved 2. Data integration is lot better 3. Charting components

I found a good article for comparision http://www.flashmagazine.com/1061.htm

I hope this answer your question. Btw : Did you like the concept ?

hira_khan··on A Solution for Startups
The current surge in demand for skilled resources has created another barrier to entry for high tech startup's. Startups , already constained with cash flows, find it hard to employee resources in office. GeniTeam (www.geniteam.com), specialize in working with high tech startups and provide software engineers, who work from offshore location , forming virtual team. The company is focussing on web2.0 startups, but wants to expand to other area's as well. The company is already helping various startups develop their products using virtual team model.
