hihi123··on I've reproduced 130 research papers about “predicting the stock market”
Ditto on the "130 papers in 7 months." I am not familiar with the field, but I assume the process would look like this:

* Read and understand paper

* Find and download appropriate input data

* Code paper model and validate (he said he wrote his own code)

I can see myself being able to do this for ONE paper in maybe a week. He claims he was doing 1-2 of these per day. Wow. So either there is some exaggeration on his part, or he is a total wizard in his field.

hihi123··on “My GitHub account has been restricted due to US sanctions as I live in Crimea”
That's an open-ended question :) If your goal is to keep the Ukraine whole, you generally punish the people whose desire to leave runs counter to that goal.
hihi123··on “My GitHub account has been restricted due to US sanctions as I live in Crimea”
Why are you referring to Crimea as a victim? Their desire to leave the Ukraine has been well-documented since the beginning. See this amusing article from 1994 in the NYT for an example [1]:

> A separatist candidate who wants Crimea to leave Ukraine and integrate with Russia won more than 70 percent of the vote today in run-off presidential elections, preliminary results showed. His victory sets the stage for a direct confrontation between Ukraine and Crimea, a Black Sea peninsula that is dominated by ethnic Russians.

Russia took Crimea illegally by force, but people of Crimea are hardly victims. Ultimately, the goal of sanctions is to signal that the US is not accepting Crimea as part of Russia. To allow US companies to operate in Crimea would legitimize the annexation. (And as far as the people go - I don't think anyone cares for the people, particularly.)

hihi123··on Data scientists shouldn't use Upwork
No, that's not the lesson. Upwork the platform scammed him, not the 'unethical' clients. The clients were looking to settle the bill.
hihi123··on Pirate our games, don't buy them from key resellers, say indies
Bundle operators and game developers engage with consumers on the grounds that the keys won't be resold individually. However, they have no way to control this. So they make reseller/G2A responsible for complying with terms of an unenforceable honor code. Seems a little arbitrary to me. It's akin to a grocery asking you not to sell eggs individually from a carton you just bought from them. (How are they gonna enforce it?... And as a consumer, are you even OK with not having full control over what is now your property?)

I think this is a problem with the business model, rather than the problem with "unethical" resellers. So you either give up on the business model, as many game devs are doing, or you find ways to enforce it. Either start suing users who resell keys, or partner with the likes of Steam to create a system in which keys can't be activated individually.
