It is clear that despite these tools having flaws on the whole they save a lot of time. It is not clear what the tradeoff with introducing poorly understood or faulty code will bring, but given the utility we're never going back.

here4U··on Under the radar announcements at OpenAI Dev Day as viewed by an AI notetaker
Hi I'm Jim and I work as Head of AI at Supernormal.

In the ever evolving world of AI, OpenAI's Dev Day was the event everyone had circled on their calendar. These detailed notes give you the inside scoop and demonstrate how Supernormal’s AI notetaker can streamline note taking in all kinds of scenarios. It might sound a bit meta to use AI to cover an AI event, but trust us, it's a turbocharged way to get the lowdown you need in record time.

To quickly get a readout of what happened, we imported Sam Altman’s keynote video for Supernormal to summarize, and then using our new Custom Prompts feature we asked it to sift through the highlights to uncover any hidden gems that might've slipped under the radar.

When you click on the notes link, you can see that Supernormal distilled Sam’s 45-minute presentation into a concise and informative summary. Custom prompts let you gather precise and tailored information in response to specific queries - in this case we asked for ‘Under the Radar Announcements’ with the instructions ‘what were some of the things Sam and Open AI announced in addition to GPT-4 Turbo that are smaller, under the radar announcements … but could help us in scaling our business and providing new features using this API?’ You can prompt it just like you would ChatGPT and it will return sets of notes in response.

We'd love for you to give it a try with your own meetings. You can easily generate a summary for any video in just a few simple steps:

1. Log in to your Supernormal Pro account and click the "Import" button located at the top of the page to import your video.

2. Scroll down to "Add Section." Enter a title and guide Supernormal by explaining what specific information you want to extract from the conversation. Note that custom sections are currently rolling out. If you don’t have access, you can email us at help@supernormal.com.

3. Preview the section and make any necessary edits to your instructions.

Check out Supernormal to get detailed and customizable notes for all your meetings and see firsthand how AI is transforming the way we capture and organize information.

here4U··on The TikTok War
I wonder how true Thompson's assertion about a war of ideology between China and western values is.

Are there any examples of TikTok influencing thinking in a pro-Chinese way via algorithm tuning or direct curation?

here4U··on The TikTok War
Your assertion that "Hence Chinese government has no power over the US subsidiary" is incomplete. Tiktok's policy of sharing user data allows the Chinese government all of the power they need, at least in terms of data collection.

Re: the influence argument your points are stronger, I think. Thompson's article felt a bit like scaremongering there.
