“Apple has announced new accessibility features for its devices, including Live Speech, Personal Voice, and Point and Speak in Magnifier. These updates will be available later this year and will help people with cognitive, vision, hearing, and mobility disabilities. Live Speech will read aloud text on the screen, while Personal Voice will allow users to create a custom voice for their device. Point and Speak in Magnifier will provide a spoken description of what is being pointed at. These new features are part of Apple's ongoing commitment to making its products accessible to everyone.”

And if it’s a local backup, that local backup needs to be taken offline, to avoid the same issue if things get deleted in the cloud
Buy Firetv 4k With the Tivimate software (paid)
It beats me why the US can’t have one
Just saying
Expensive
Then you’ll need to buy disks
a) Download file.EXE binary from somewhere
b) run: certutil -hashfile file.EXE (which spits out hash value)
c) search for hash value obtained at step “b” on a site like: virustotal.com : it tells you if malware is detected
d) run: file.exe (if no malware detected)
I honestly couldn’t find a better method on MS Windows. Other suggestions?
Fault as in: someone should pay for it.
Definitely NOT a “honest mistake”
The WHO is doing damage control.
Closed spaces: ventilation or HEPA filters are necessary.
Think of cigarette smoke: if you can smell it, you’d get the virus
Best of luck to you
However, a European way of living in Quebec? Not sure, I agree with that. Sure, there are more bakeries than in neighboring Ontario, but it pretty much stops there.
Quebec is NOT a piece of France in America.
That’s the mistake lots of people make.
I know what I’m talking about. I’m in Quebec.
Debt is debt, that’s it, you’re supposed to pay it back.
Not a reason to criminalize a debt the way the UAE does it.
Islam has nothing to do with this.
Other things you mentioned are NOT complex:
Slavery, exploitation, lack of rule of law, lack of human rights, lack of women rights etc
Let’s not give the UAE a pass here.
People go to the UAE to make money. They re not there from some “intellectually difficult to explain” reason. Pure $$$.
Because doing a search in a place that’s not moderated by humans would generate too much noise.
I think this kinda takes us back to the old times with Yahoo (and humans sorting the information) etc…
A giant step backwards, if you ask me.

1h25mn well spent
I started small with the basic stuff and went into more home automation thingies…
Here is what led me to some home automation (scared of water leak damage)
- I had a home security system using some external monitoring the old way
- wanted to be able to see what’s going on when I’m away (alarm would trigger the security company to call me but not a water leak)
- bought Aqara water leak sensors, camera etc, plugged everything and currently use Apple’s HomeKit (Apple TV) with iCloud (2TB cloud with “secure video”) to get notified when I’m on my cell if something goes wrong
- this basic “infrastructure” gave me the basics for home automation where I can configure a bunch of conditions (if this, then that) and buy additional sensors/camera and just add them if I want to…
Not Raspberry Pi. Not open source.
More like a fire a forget kind of thing
1-Store the information very quickly, without typing any additional text, so no tags and no annotations
2-Retrieve the information based on some word I might remember from the previously saved text or based on an approximate date
#1 happens a lot so I don’t want to spend time annotating or tagging information (ie click save and forget…)
#2 is much less frequent and when I really need the info, I can spend a bit of time to craft my criteria for a search
Making #1 laborious or painful is a nonstarter for me. Anyone else on the same boat?
I saw the shebang and still didn’t understand what the heck roku was.
Until I searched it:
“Raku is a member of the Perl family of programming languages. Formerly known as Perl 6, it was renamed in October 2019.”
