hajrice··on Ask HN: My App's Pricing plans.
Wow this looks really good. Thanks for the link.
hajrice··on Ask HN: Which of these two designs should we use?
Your vote link doesnt work.

I like #1 more. The green CTA button is really nice.

hajrice··on HNRFS: Help me help you; whats missing from your day?
* Billing system? Though Chargify.com isn't doing a bad job.

* We hate chatting via IM and tried Highrise, it isn't for us. I guess that could be a starting point ?

hajrice··on Tell HN: Rails screencasts.
Thanks to the power of mechanicalturk, I think I could pay them to transcript the videos.
hajrice··on Tell HN: Rails screencasts.
That's interesting. Some people find it hard to learn by watching a screen cast. How much value do you see in these rails screencasts ?
hajrice··on Tell HN: Rails screencasts.
Yes. Teaching others can definitely be a good marketing strategy. I think that Obie Fernandez made HashRocket really popular through his book, "The Rails Way"

Thanks for responding with a useful link. Unfortunately, recordMyScreen is a bit ... "slow" in terms of video quality.

I think I'll stick with screenr, it limits me to 5 minutes per video anyway!

I love the idea of turning this into a book, yet the problem with a book is that due to how fast rails moves, the actual content would eventually become outdated.
hajrice··on Tell HN: Rails screencasts.
I agree, peepcode is executing their videos really well.
hajrice··on Tell HN: Rails screencasts.
Thanks for the feedback. Every episode would be limited to 5 minutes.

The code would be publicly available via github.

hajrice··on Tell HN: Rails screencasts.
I agree. Screencasts are really fun, especially if the lecturer isn't boring and monotone!
hajrice··on Tell HN: Rails screencasts.
I'd limit every episode by 5 minutes. www.screenr.com is awesome software. I haven't found anything that fits my needs apart from it(I'm on Ubuntu)
hajrice··on Tell HN: Rails screencasts.
Rails 3: Well, it's a huge shift from the previous rails version, so, yes.

Regarding sound quality, yeah, I'm using a headset.

Btw. I added you on GChat.

hajrice··on Tell HN: Rails screencasts.
I agree, attention span is something that's really hard to maintain.

Front end coding: Very little, I'd use the nifty_layouts. No reason to spend time when the likelihood of you using the exact same design is very little.

In terms of editing, that's very time consuming. This raises the question, would you be willing to pay for that at a "fair price"?

hajrice··on Tell HN: Rails screencasts.
Thanks. Do you have any suggestions, I'd really appreciate hearing your opinion on this.
hajrice··on Tell HN: Giving away programming books to HN members
Awesome. Thank you so much buddy! :D

I'd really love [4] Ferret - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ferret-David-Balmain/dp/0596519400/r....

Sending you an email now! :D

hajrice··on Ask HN: What are you working on tonight?
lipton green tea
hajrice··on Ask HN: Review my Startup - imVOX
No offence, but the site is just ugly, you should redesign it ASAP. Seriously! The product looks pretty interesting though. Doesn't Skype more-less provide these services?
hajrice··on Ask HN: Review my site - readit.me
First of all, when I arrive, I have no idea What the app is for, how it helps me, etc. I suggest you add a paragraph or two explaining what it does and how to get started. But overall it's a pretty cool site. Good luck!
hajrice··on Ask HN: Finding tech team
"...However, I have a good idea and most importantly startup capital."
hajrice··on [dead]
Check out when he starts talking about planing. You have to watch the entire video to realize it.
hajrice··on TalkerApp launched
Now this is awesome!!!
hajrice··on Ask HN: What are you working on?
Workflo - A microblogging platform for your company.

A "ask hn: rate my app" will be put up soon

hajrice··on Ask HN: Great books you read in 2009?
"Great Gatsby" by F.S.Fitzgerald. Really awesome book.
hajrice··on Ask HN: How long after launch did you get your first customer?
Here are two points that I've realized. I think that the ThinkGeek website is pretty well-done, I mean they're in a relevant market as you guys, so you should definitely look into their website at: http://www.thinkgeek.com/

The elements are really aligned in a logical fashion. It's pretty aggressive on the eyes when you see huge yellow boxes with the prices on the right.

The stuff that's supposed to grab my attention, doesn't. "Invest in yourself: learn by doing. Read on to learn how the NerdKits philosophy is implemented in our kits, and why other electronics kits will leave you intellectually unsatisfied." is DISTRACTED by the "Updated Thursday, December 17th, 2009:" div.

hajrice··on Tell PG: Email alerts.
Thanks :)
hajrice··on Please tell us what features you'd like in news.ycombinator
I think that it'd be really cool to have email notifications when someone replies to our post/comment.
hajrice··on Ask HN: How long after launch did you get your first customer?
Interesting. With all due respect, I think you should redesign your site www.nerdkits.com
hajrice··on Ask HN: How long after launch did you get your first customer?
Thanks Patrick, glad to see BingoCardCreator doing well.
