hadem··on Spotify acquires The Echo Nest to build a better music discovery engine
This was my very first thought as well. I worry they will close it as well. Perhaps they will charge for to use the service in the future?
hadem··on Spritz – read 500 words per minute without any training
I really like your bookmarklet. Few quick notes I have after using it for a few minutes. - It will sometimes begin to read source code.

- There doesn't seem to be an obvious way to close the reader?

- Customization for colors/fonts/positioning would be great!

Great work!

Created a JSFiddle from your current source: http://jsfiddle.net/Wh7d2/
hadem··on Scale of the Universe
I disagree. The user interface is poorly designed. It immediately slides everything past in a blur. I wanted to look from smallest to largest, but when I click the icon to go to the smallest scale, I'm asked to "restart". If I use the scroll wheel and get to the smallest scale, I'm also asked to restart. When I restart, I'm shown the blur of objects again and have to go through the entire process over again.

What software did you use to render these images? They look nice.
hadem··on Gmail data visualization with D3.js
I was wondering the same thing.
hadem··on Ask HN: What are some alternatives to HN?
I'm sorry about that. I didn't realize that the email field in our profiles was private. I have updated my profile for you. Thanks again!
hadem··on Ask HN: What are some alternatives to HN?
If you still have invites available, I'd be happy to take one off your hands :-) Thanks!
hadem··on 4 million songs on Spotify have never been played. Let’s change that
Perhaps their budget (both in terms of time and money) doesn't allow for it...? Don't default to the web developer incapable or disregarding scalability.
hadem··on Favorite Kanban board for *personal* productivity management?
I've only played around with it for a few minutes, but it seems feature rich with a free account option. See http://kanbanize.com/
hadem··on Thirty Years of Mac [video]
The video felt more like a demonstration of software that works on Macs rather than 30 years of Mac hardware to me.
hadem··on Demonstration at Home of Google Developer. Google Bus Blocked in Berkeley
I never claim effectiveness. Reading an article about a protest and a protest causing actual change are two very different things. I don't see what job was done.
hadem··on Demonstration at Home of Google Developer. Google Bus Blocked in Berkeley
I've never felt the need for a down vote button for a comment on Hacker News until now.

Yes, we should be ethically aware of the tools and products we build, but this is not the way to go about this! Harassing a man at his home like this is unnecessary and aggressive.

Please stop the promotion of individual harassment.

hadem··on Now you can keep it legal, with Google Images usage rights filter
Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't the usage rights filter been around for ages?
hadem··on Frameworkless JavaScript
Whereas had they decided to use Backbone or AngularJS I wouldn't have to invest tons of effort...? Regardless of framework (or lack there of), effort will be needed for those utilizing the API.

hadem··on Processing Hour of Code
I'd love to be able to jump to a certain point in a specific video lesson. Say I can't finish the entire lesson now, I'd like to be able to pick up where I left off previously. Instead, I'd be forced to watch what I had already watched.

Not the end of the world, but a minor feature I think most of us are used to with online video.

hadem··on Learn PHP – Free interactive PHP tutorial
It's refreshing to see a positive comment about PHP at the top of a HN discussion!
hadem··on Google Wallet Card
My first thought was along the lines of how great a service like this could be when abroad.
hadem··on Google Wallet Card
Perhaps to gain new customers who can't (or don't want to) use their phones at the checkout? Isn't the card good for stores that don't have means to use your phone as a means of payment? A more "traditional" way of paying if you will.
hadem··on Bitcoin payment processor BIPS compromised, 1295 BTC stolen

hadem··on What happens when the U.S. President uses your startup for a conference call
I never understand the decision behind blogs not putting a link anywhere on their blog to their actual website.

1. Mixlr in the header points me to blog.mixlr.com.

2. Footer links, all of them link to the page I'm on...

I know there is a link in the content of the post, but what about other posts? Why is there not an easy way for me to get to your main site without manually modifying the URL in the address bar?

hadem··on Pencil

hadem··on Twitter Bootstrap without all the debt
But what are your actual benefits to your semantic layout besides "not feeling bad"? It seems that using the @extends creates just as many issues as it solves.
