guywaffle··on Ask HN: What startups are hiring summer interns?
Umm, the summer is almost over.
guywaffle··on Alabama tracking students' locations to penalize them for leaving games early
The ncaa is just legal slavery. That includes college baseball.
guywaffle··on Teens Aren’t Partying Anymore
Yea... the moment the author used iGen they lost all credibility.
guywaffle··on Security firm Keeper sues news reporter over vulnerability story
Yes, but a lot of the statements Keeper is upset about are the same ones the engineer reported.
guywaffle··on Security firm Keeper sues news reporter over vulnerability story
Why go after the journalist instead of the engineer who found it? The engineer also posted the vulnerability.
guywaffle··on Show HN: Ethereum Canvas – Draw on the blockchain
That makes no sense. I am saying this is a scam to get Ether quick and cheap. There is no need to put a drawing or a love note on a blockchain, and me making something better won’t stop people from getting scammed by stuff like this.
guywaffle··on Cryptocurrencies Are Illegal Lotteries
Not all cryptocurrencies use a proof-of-work to validate blocks. So even if someone wanted to make the stretch and say a PoW is an illegal lottery that doesn’t mean every cryptocurrency is.
guywaffle··on Show HN: Ethereum Canvas – Draw on the blockchain
I don’t see what’s so cynical? There are a bunch of pointless Ethereum contracts made to get Ethers quick and free. This and crypto.love are dumb as hell and shouldn’t be posted on here
guywaffle··on Casualties of the Cashless Society: Those Who Get Seasonal Tips
It’s also the boss’s job to pay them. So why do I have to pay for the cold steak, and then pay the restaurant’s employee? That is not my job.
guywaffle··on Enforcing New Rules to Reduce Hateful Conduct and Abusive Behavior
This is all BS. Twitter has to prove they will enforce their policies, which means banning Trump. Twitter doesn’t have the guts to do that. Yellow-bellies
guywaffle··on Show HN: Ethereum Canvas – Draw on the blockchain
Why?
guywaffle··on German Kindergarten Campouts Test Helicopter Parents (2015)
I can guarantee kids watch more porn now at a younger age than they did in the 70’s and 80’s.
guywaffle··on The Case Against Reading Everything
Hmm take advice from the greatest author of the last thousand years, Stephen King, or someone who has three books I’ve never heard of?
guywaffle··on Why Aren’t Any Bankers in Prison for Causing the Financial Crisis? (2016)
So the banks make shady moves and need a bail out because of their bs. They get the money, and since they just got caught, and actually use it the way it should have been the whole time. From that they made a profit. Technically, wouldn’t they have made more profit if they had been behaving the whole time? So technically they did lose money.
guywaffle··on Accessing Publicly Available Information on the Internet Is Not a Crime
Not true. When you make a HTTP REQUEST, you’re not accessing a piece of private property. You are requesting information. Just because it is requested doesn’t mean it has to be served.
guywaffle··on Accessing Publicly Available Information on the Internet Is Not a Crime
Make it fair then! Bots can’t scrape LinkedIn, and LinkedIn can’t sell any consumer data to third parties.
guywaffle··on No need to pinkify – Girls get interested in tech because it is interesting
The gaming “culture” ain’t got nothing on Twitter.

Basically, any platform a person can hide behind a screen is going to have toxic people. Gaming is a lot better about keeping the community in check than ANY social media company.

guywaffle··on Why do tech companies avoid the Midwest?
Or if a person likes to travel. Just because the area a person works/lives is relatively cheap doesn’t mean the hotel in Paris or the flight to Hawaii is any cheaper.
guywaffle··on Look, netflix shoots itself in the foot
Lmao that’s creepy funny!
guywaffle··on Bitcoin terrifies me
But they are already pulling strings just to slap each other and using us as pawns in the process. At least that’s the picture Mr. Robot is painting right now. It does have its dark moments, but I think it’s dark because the world it portrays isn’t that far off from our own.
guywaffle··on Bitcoin terrifies me
If you truly believe the 1% don’t know how to stay on top and pull strings so they always win then you’re dreaming.

It may just be a TV show, but Mr. Robot touches on this subject. Give it a try

guywaffle··on Bitcoin terrifies me
If you’re talking about the 1% they aren’t worried. The banks may have regulations, but most banks are owned by the Rothschild family. They can invest however they want since they are individuals.
guywaffle··on Firefox Is as Fast as Chrome Now, and No One Cares
Try to avoid double negatives.
guywaffle··on Bitcoin terrifies me
... because you don’t understand it?

It’s common knowledge people fear what they don’t know.

guywaffle··on U.S. Tax Expert Caught in Surreal Green Card Trap in Denmark
Move back to the US and ignore the charges. If they don’t want your knowledge and help then blacklist them. Our current “president” is America first so they’d have to start a war to do anything
guywaffle··on The Air Force Wants to Use Falcons to Punch Drones Out of the Sky
They should have speakers on the birds so every time they collide with a drone the speaker shouts "FALCON PUNCH!!!"
guywaffle··on White House Weighing Plans for Private Spies to Counter “Deep State” Enemies
Perfect! This is exactly what America “needs”
guywaffle··on Books I read this year
It’s easy to be nice after a person has made big bucks by cheating everyone. Watch “Pirates of Silicon Valley”
guywaffle··on Taking Children Seriously
I’d be worried about a kid being quiet on the playground. Those are the ones up to something mischievous lol
guywaffle··on The Great American Single-Family Home Problem
Umm hypocrite?
