You don't need a bank account to accept bitcoins, all you need is a Bitcoin wallet.
If what you want is to convert bitcoin to fiat currency, there are lots of ways to do that.
You can do that by using Circle/Coinbase and link your accounts to a bank account, have Coinbase/Circle convert it to cash for you.
Other ways to do that is with an ATM, bitcoin credit/debit cards, localbitcoins.com, etc.
I suggest Bitcoin because it's been way more flexible and easier for me when it comes to international payments.
Good luck.
What options do you suggest for converting to local currency, USD in your case?
Some people make a lot of assumptions, but I bet none of those people ever tried Bitcoin.
I'm saying it's disappointing everyone focuses on volatility, yet everyone dismisses the other advantages of Bitcoin.
Also, Bitcoin is not as volatile as it was once anymore, have you checked the price in the last few months? It has stayed around 200-300-ish USD.
It's fine if you don't want to use Bitcoin, but please stop spreading FUD.
The thing is, I've been working remotely for 7 years with Rails, but lately it's been difficult to get remote work so I had to take the local offerings and that means going back to PHP as most companies in my area use PHP/Java.
But is it worth it?
How do you suggest I improve my skills?
Isn't there another place where I can get work without having to go through those pointless exercises first?
Isn't my time better spent working on Free and Open Source Software than dealing with these stupid tests?
I've been working as a freelancer for a few years now and I generally get work done, so this has been humiliating.
I'm also not very happy with #menu being this large in LoC. What would you guys recommend?
I'm saying, how do you deal with stress of tight schedules and deadlines AND having to solve a hard programming problem.
And then you get real stress.
That's what I'm referring to, how do you deal with that?
I'm not saying I don't enjoy challenges of solving real problems with programming, I do enjoy them.
But mix that with the pressure from your employer and deadlines and you get even more stress.
This is what I'm referring to.
How do you deal with that?
Me: "I'm leaving."
Boss: "Okay."
Me: "Can I ask you for a favor?"
Boss: "Yes?"
Me: "Please call me by my name. I do respect the team so I'd like to get the same respect back."
Boss: "Okay, yes"
Me: "Bye"
Boss: "Bye"
I came to the office today and he gave me an apology. He also mentioned that when and if I have a problem again, I can speak my mind to him whenever I want to but in private rather than in front of others.
He also mentioned that he was "joking" and that he doesn't call most people by their name. He also mentioned that we are "different" and I'm not sure what he meant by that, but I don't care.
Anyway, he said he won't disrespect again and we shaked hands and moved on, but it's good that he apologized. I hope the apology was sincere though.
Nikola Tesla, Linus Torvalds and other great scientist/engineers were/are also immigrant and they changed the world.
I'm proud of who I am.
2. Same as with bullying, nobody should ever tolerate this bullshit.
3. Flirting is harassment if the other party is not interested in flirting. At that point I don't think it's flirting anymore, but harassment.
4. It does suck indeed, and I'll seek for a new job.
I'll seek for new employment.
He mentions to the development team that workers quit from his company with a smile on his face. He apparently finds abuse and developers quitting from his company amusing.
