grim_io··on Claude Code now reads AGENTS.md if there is no Claude.md
Not going to use Twitter without Nitter, so I'll just assume that's good news.

Maybe I can finally delete that useless symlink to the actual AGENTS.md.

grim_io··on US interest rates raised for first time in three years
You give the people in charge too much credit regarding any long term thinking or goals in general.
grim_io··on US interest rates raised for first time in three years
Yeah. And? :)

That's where all the smoking guns are buried.
grim_io··on How Much Has Trump Made from Crypto? ($1.4B from 2025 Federal Disclosure)
I wonder if you are, maybe accidentally, implying that any president before has made America weaker?

I'd argue that actively trying to make enemies out of friends is in no way going to make America stronger. Quite the opposite.

grim_io··on So you want to use OpenRouter?
My limited impression is, that all the 3rd party inference providers are absolute garbage.

I was so disappointed that I won't consider any of them for at least a few years.

grim_io··on RTK reports token savings, but our cost benchmarks disagree
Even JetBrains is now AI blog-slop, how disappointing.
grim_io··on Our GitHub Actions bill kept climbing, so we moved CI to one box
Does anyone write anything anymore themselves? This is insulting, even for an AI coding enthusiast like myself.
grim_io··on Mistral raises €3B
What is the AI arms reace to you?

Isn't it to be the globally dominant provider of such a service? Everything else is in service of that goal.

grim_io··on Mistral raises €3B
There is a big difference in compute requirements between EU and US.

EU needs to meet their own demand, the US wants to be the global provider.

grim_io··on We have a year to fix security everywhere
What? If someone wanted to bomb something, they wouldn't be waiting for drones to arrive.

RC cars and planes existed for many decades already.

grim_io··on A Tesla ran a stop sign and killed a man, Full Self-Driving/Autopilot was on
We hold the driver accountable.

The pressure is on the leader, not the underdog.
grim_io··on Political meddling at the Census Bureau damages the US statistical system
Yes? This is neither Cesar's legion, nor The Apprentice.

Although, the guy at the top sure runs his place like a TV show, where all the stuntmen really do die for real.

grim_io··on There Gonna Be a Shortage of Everything
The re-election is the real surprise for me.

G.W. Bush was wrong, you can be fooled twice.

HUMAN > I’m not sure yet.

Haha silly humans.

grim_io··on Research acceleration: The view inside OpenAI
They would maybe try to deactivate that bad "gene" and move on, exposing future models to "genetic disorders".
grim_io··on .gitignore Everything by Default
Most of the colleagues I've worked with only use "git add ." without checking first.

Keys, npm directories and huge binaries are fixed by deleting them later on. The horror.

grim_io··on Claude Code skills for advanced context engineering techniques and patterns
It's all vibes, everyone is flying blind. jesus_take_the_wheel.md

If you think any one of these "frameworks" has some real, universal benefit, you are probably in your AI psychosis phase.

We might be going in the direction of Cyberpunk's Blackwall.

grim_io··on GPT-6 Astra
It might draw a really shitty one to hide its true power ;)

Sorry guys, our AI superintelligence got bored by your mundane tasks. Please provide them with frontier math problems from time to time, so they will be more aligned to do your taxes as well.
grim_io··on Nobody Has Actually Built a Software Factory
Like The Matrix, but it's us who harvest the dreaming machines.

Not a future I envisioned, but a preferable one.

grim_io··on Invisible Companies
Insert "always was" meme here.
grim_io··on Whistleblower warns Postal Service mail ballot system has catastrophic problems
Maybe I'm stupid, but why would sending back mean invalid?

It gets sent back, it gets investigated and fixed, and back it goes.

Am I missing something?

grim_io··on Whistleblower warns Postal Service mail ballot system has catastrophic problems
Assuming they check 400 out of 10k, and assuming someone would want to cause any meaningful discrepancies >= 1% of the ballots, meaning 100 problematic ballots per 10k batch.

This system would catch it 98,3% of the time. Pretty good, I'd say.

Is it any good for running local AI?
grim_io··on Using floci to emulate Cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
Are the hundreds of agents running the infra still a thing?

Do we know what they do and how they do it?
