The door moved upwards, as is done when it is opened. It became disengaged and allowed it to be expelled from the aircraft. They have not found the four bolts that restrained it from moving and are not sure if the four bolts were installed.

Yes of course if someone is able to pick the exact stocks that will go up the most then they will do wonderful. The problem is that it is impossible to know which stocks are going to succeed or fail.

Also the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation is estimated to be worth $69 billion. And probably most of that has come from Bill Gates.

That is the federal tipped wage (which actually seems to be $2.13/hr). It depends which state you live in. Seems like only 15 states use the federal amount [1].

Where I live in Oregon tipped workers get the full minimum wage of $15.45/hr in the Portland metro area. There is also $14.20/hr for the rest of the state, and $13.20/hr for some rural counties. Some other states also require tipped workers to be paid the full minimum wage, but not that many.

I've started paying cash more at places that have tipping screens for what I consider to be a service that a tip is not required. For example the local donut shop has a tipping screen for them spending 1-2 minutes of time to get the donuts.

I tend to delete things from my history that I don't want to impact my recommendations.

My stuff just keeps on working. So for me I have no complaints. They aren't perfect but I haven't found anything out there that makes me want to switch to something else.

Do you have any data to back that assertion?

I don't use auto-pay from the credit card company, but I do setup my credit union to pay ~$50 to each one of my cards each month, which should meet the minimum required payment, in case I might forget. Then I manually pay off the balance of each credit card each month, sometimes more than once in a month.

In the US it is $400 for the Pixel 6 Pro (256GB) and $550 for the iPhone 13 Pro (256GB) to trade-in for a Pixel 8 Pro (128GB).

I am probably going to trade in an old Pixel 3 (64GB) that I had sitting in a drawer. They will give $200 trade-in for it for a Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 Pro. Only $30 trade-in for the other phones they sell.

I have Yubikey nano in my laptop, desktop, and Linux PC. All of them are still going strong. I have four Yubikeys on my keychain, two of which I bought in 2014, and they also are still working without issues. None of my keys have ever failed.

You could buy "nano" keys for each computer and just leave them installed all the time. And the backup would be one on your keychain. This is how I do it.

I'm not really that concerned about someone gaining physical access to my system compared to how concerned I am about someone on the Internet gaining access to my passwords somehow. Of course I look the doors to my house and don't leave my laptop just lying around :)

I have around 4 Yubikeys on my (physical) key ring. I purchased two of them back in 2014. None of my keys have ever had an issue.

For me the track record has been perfect.

Since the TRS-80 Model I was my first computer and the Model III was my second computer I do keep having a nostalgic desire to get a Model III or 4 to use. Reading these articles and seeing various YouTube videos about them may one day push me over the edge and try to buy one :)

@saganus Completely unrelated but I saw you ask a question back in 2019 on how to repair a TRS-80 Model 4P. You might want to look at the YouTube channel Adrian's Digital Basement. He repaired a Model 4P about 10 months ago. Did three videos on it.

I think that assumption is wrong. For me I have had my printer since 2011 and have printed less than 4,000 pages. I often go months between print jobs. Sometimes I print, sometimes I scan, and sometimes I photocopy.
