That's exactly how it works in Canada too. Both estate agents split a % of the sale value. That's fine on the seller's side, IMO. But on the buyer's side, it's a silly conflict of interest.

Definitely is the right website though... The first link on it says "Reverse" and that article is the one at the top of the list. But I agree with your sentiment, I saw the domain name on HN before even getting to the article and it did raise my brow for that same reason.

I know this is meant as a rhetoric, but it sounds like car sales. I bought a car last year. They sent my name and address to Sirius XM and now I'm getting spammed by marketing calls + marketing physical mail for Sirius XM when I don't need such service. I have a phone and all my music on it. It's already something that happens in the non-software world and it's definitely annoying there too!

I'm using KDE on KUbuntu on my work laptop day-to-day for the last 18 months.

But I've been using it for longer than that as I do recall using it for half of my university too. I recall I was using MATE before switching.

I am a backend developer in PHP and NodeJS. I have 16 months of fulltime backend development and 2 years of part-time. I am currently completing my bachelor's in Software Engineering, and will be available starting on the last week of April for full-time work. I work on small Discord bots on my free time (in NodeJS). I am bilingual (French+English), and did run an English D&D campaign on Tuesday nights at my last internship.

Location : Surrounding Montreal, Qc, Canada

Remote: Yes

Willing to Relocate : Not much. North or South shore of Montreal, would rather avoid working on the island (might work out if in the east). Location is of key importance to my happiness.
