]To reiterate what other people have said. This it not a problem of React, this is a problem of people blindly jumping on the Redux hype train, without doing the required reading into Redux and its use case.
though I haven't seen a gQL alternative that does a better job, Falcor is close
Me, I'm fine with making games on the side for now. But if an idea were to come along which I deeply fall in love with, I can easily imagine quitting my day job (being frugal, always putting on the side helps with that) and just work on something for a few years.
Greenfoot really was the biggest inspiration, but I'd really like to build something more general purporse. Aka pass in a grammar file and then you can use the editor for that language.
I'm interested in turning this into a full code editor, probably starting with JS (since I already got JSON). But first I want to get some feedback on the principal idea, I hope this version already gets it across.
Anyway, a few more words on it: I very much believe that our current editors are too literal and too close to the actual texts. While there certainly already exist tools that treat the base programming language structures as primitives, instead of the literal symbols, few programmers use these (as they are mostly mouse/menu based). Even more advanced IDE's still fundamentally make you edit text, which must bring some cognitive overhead with it (even for pros). We, as programmers, should be more generous with ourselves here and allow us to introduce a layer of abstraction, which I believe will yield many advantages (yes, even speed).
When its premises are false, an argument is always unsound. But it can still be valid. A sound argument is one that is both valid and has true premises.
About builiding a soundness/validity graph, I've dabbled with building a webapp for that (though the graph is more implied than visual). It's still very basic, but if someone has ideas where exactly it should go or how it could be engaging to a community of critical thinkers, please contact me.
