But I most of all want to create something to help people and I get very satisfied by solving problems.
Anyway I ment measuring the success. How many are actually making money(I mena not just having revenue but revenue > expenses).
it is just some variables that they tweaked until they fit.
What languages do you know more?
Id say go functional, entirely different, mindexpanding and might be very important in the near future because of concurrency/parallellism.
Erlang, Clojure, Common Lisp, Scheme.
And they teach it to 12-year olds?
I must be lagging behind...
Or is it some sort of genius school?
and why do you want that? i use pyhton as a superb general-purpose language and for gluing together a lot of different parts of software/programs.
for that purpose, simplicity and readability is essential.
Here is my code in Erlang, using factorial(which is not recommended by the site): nCk(N, K) -> fac(N) / (fac(K) * fac(N - K)).
what´s wrong with that?
Downvote trolling and upvote opinions and posts you like. But dont downvote wellargumented posts that you disagree with.
Does that mean someone else is paying for me? I.E. most people surf less and there for don't use the 50$ dllars they pay?
I mean how is this actually working, internet used to be expensive like 10 years ago when you paid per hour and had a modem.
I thought it was so cheap now because it is cheap to let people have the bandwidth.
I don't really get this issue with wanting to control what people access. Why don't the broadbandproviders charge you for how much bandwidth you use instead?
for porfessional use maybe windows has issues but really what is wrong with vista or earlier windows for the average computeruser?
and my punctuation is good and it is the internets anyway.
it really is funny how people believe in evolution but dont accept the consqquenses of it.
we aint that bright dude, just look at the average persons ability to reflect upon themselves...
i mean you have to be an expert and put in a LOT of work right?
>>> numbers = [1,10,100,1000,10000,100000,1000000] >>> if any(number < 10 for number in numbers):print number

1. an AI in a box and it has shown to be dangerous and now must be kep inside or
2. we dont know if it is good or dangerous and it is the gatekeepers job to find out?
this is like one of those send me 20000$ and ill tell you how to make a million dollars and the answer is tell 50 people to send you 20000$ and you will tell them how to make a million dollars.
i guess the singularity issue is about you being religious or not.
if there is no God, why shouldnt we be able to create a life? we come from dumb stuff and the brain supposedly is just an advanced computer.
what are the philospohical and mathematical limitations on AI/creating a more clever being?
on a related but slightly different matter: i think i ahve read something about the matrix that it takes more atoms to simulate an atom so therefore a simulation can never be of the whole universe. correct?
i dont personally have a problem with it but id prefer the same language with normal syntax/notation.
i want it as clutterfree as possible, ona computerscreen some clutter is acceptable but on a small screen it is a mess.
im not an avid mobileuser though so maybe im not the target.
