Now take those numbers, multiply them by 12, and add them to the tuition cost.
Now multiply that by four. Near $80-100k? Definitely.
When you do, $25k isn’t hard to hit at all a year. Take any UC school (average in-state ~$15k) and add just rent (~$800/month if you’re lucky) and you’ll get there. Now factor in food, travel (over breaks), club fees, etc and you’ll see why debt is so high, on average, despite students working part time jobs.
You could have let it be, but instead you derailed things further. All good, I learned something new about ellipsis + periods from someone else’s response.
More vocal and likely to act in a coordinated effort? Unfortunately, probably.
Wikipedia is a community resource, so when I read these things I naturally wonder if it’s a constant tug-of-war between the moderators and the general public posting updates, or are the moderators simply pushing a nationally-held viewpoint?
Genuinely curious.
