giorgos_tsif··on Show HN: Tefter for Teams – lightning-speed access to all your essential links
Hey folks,

I'm Giorgos, one of the makers of Tefter for Teams.

We have been developing and testing Tefter for Teams for a few months now, starting from a Slack app - https://tefter.io/go/slack, then overhauling our extension Omni - https://tefter.io/go/extension - and establishing feature parity on tefter.io

Our goal is to get your team on the same page faster with lightning-speed access to all your important links, from any device and Slack.

Team members will spend less time looking for documents in Confluence, Google drive, <insert tool>. All it takes is to ask our Slack bot with “@tefter search some-feature” for our bot to respond with all the relevant links instantly. Quick search is also available in our extension, surfaced with the alt + k key combination.

For commonly used links, there is our aliases feature, think of it as a golinks.io replacement. You can assign a word to a URL and then refer to that word for the full link to appear. For example, you could assign standup to https://zoom.us/j/4242842784237571337 which would be difficult to memorize. Then, with the extension installed, you just type in the browser’s address bar go/standup and hit enter.

Tefter is also great for onboarding team members, invite them to your Tefter team and all the important links will be at their fingertips, neatly organised and full-text searchable, with support for PDF search..

Here’s a video of our Slack app https://youtu.be/zKIDCNRR_z4 and here’s one of our extension Omni https://youtu.be/OhJCsui7suQ

We'd love to get some feedback and I'd be happy to answer any questions!

giorgos_tsif··on Show HN: Omni – The fast, personalized web navigation companion
Hey folks,

I'm Giorgos, one of the makers of Omni. Omni is a browser extension from Tefter that lets you search and navigate your open tabs, history and Tefter bookmarks. It also automatically groups together similar links.

This extension is ideal for people who have too many tabs open. Most times I have so many tabs open that titles are not even visible. Omni is built for the lazy. Its algorithm analyzes your history, tabs and bookmarks and keeps learning the more you use it. All your data stays local and is optimally indexed.

Our goal is that you won't have to lift your hands off the keyboard and any tab will be only a few keypresses away. Omni will be the fastest tab switcher you've ever experienced, your personalized search and navigation companion.

Pro tips:

- Use alt + k or option + k on MacOS to start searching

- Use alt + a or option + a on MacOS to navigate using aliases (golinks.io alternative)

- Use the tab key to move between groups

- Installing Omni does not require a Tefter account

- If you have a Tefter account, right click any link or click the extension icon to add a bookmark

- Omni replaces the browser's default new tab page, you can disable this by following the instructions https://guides.tefter.io/features/apps/#new-tab

- Type /s to trigger 3rd party search {Google, DuckDuckGo, YouTube, ..}

- Type /go to search your aliases

We'd love to get some feedback and I'd be happy to answer any questions!

giorgos_tsif··on Working with the ELK stack
Thank you, maybe we will write a blogpost describing this experience! (We are Greeks we do not know Turkish!)

There is a ruby version also here: https://github.com/skroutz/turkish_stemmer
